Not surprising. Best of luck to him. He will be missed.
Come to Dallas, Kendall.
Ugh. No.
Besides, the Cowboys broke Danny Coale.
Come back to visit, hopefully flashing some all-pro jewelry to motivate the next generation of DBU.
And thus departs the end of a legacy.
I feel kind of like a parent dealing with empty nest syndrome.
Good luck in the League, young man. It's the smart decision at this stage in the game.
Also, I'll be anxiously awaiting that Mama Fuller statue to be put up right next to the eventual Beamer statue. I expect to see all of you at the dedication ceremony.
Damn.
Good luck to him and hopefully the rehabbing can go well so he can up his stock some more at the combine!
I'm pretty confident he will wow at the pro day and combine and cement himself solidly back in the 1st round, where his stock should have never really been in question.
Well, at least all those DBU shirts got put to good use.................
When I got his autograph at Fan Day this year I was wearing my
DBU shirt. He loved it. Actually they ALL loved it.
I fully understand this move and support him. I hope that he goes to a good team.
BUT I was really hoping for one more year with a fully healthy Fuller and Facyson with their experience. I was kinda (selfishly) hoping that the injury would make him stay around for another year. So part of me is like:
In all honesty though, Good Luck and thanks for the memories:
Big loss, just as much from a "great guy" standpoint as it is from a "key part of the team" standpoint. However, I was really impressed with all the young guys Bud & Co. utilized in the secondary this year. DBU is in good hands moving forward.
Thanks Kendall (and all the Fuller boys) for helping establish that great tradition (DBU) at VT along with being outstanding representatives of the program and school.
Ouch. Best of luck to him.
The only positive I can make from this (from my own selfish perspective) is that his presumed lower draft stock at least makes him a possibility for Carolina now. Not that I expect it to happen.
Carolina needs Hokies dangit.
Agree. As a panther fan, I've been plotting this since the injury, especially with a looming Josh Norman pay day. I'm almost certain we won't be able to afford him. (Deserves a Top-4 CB contract, honestly)
Gettleman will find a way. Wouldn't be surprised if he takes a little bit of a discount to stay with the team to continue this run. Then again, if they win it all this year, I could see him chasing the money. Otherwise, not sure he'll be in a better spot to be on a contender long-term than where he is now.
Redskins will be picking around 16th-20th. Need DB help. The pieces are coming to together.
#FullerToDC
But Jarrett and Fuller back together would be cool.
I would traditionally agree with you that the DC sports curse and incompetence of the Redskins would ruin a Hokie and be fully against them coming here. BUT, the Redskins seem to be a good home for Hokie DBs. They revived DeAngelo's career and Kyshoen Jarret seems to off to a great start there. Why not Fuller? Maybe the trio of #DBU'ers can be studs for them.
If nothing else they can have some killer VT game watching parties at Hall's house.
With his brother currently at Detroit and Chicago, if Kendall goes to Washington, that basically solidifies that family not seeing a Lombardi Trophy for a very long time.
if Kendall goes to currently 1st place Washington
You sure you wanna be celebrating that?
I'm a DC sports fan, of course I want to celebrate that.
Fair enough, I'd celebrate a high water mark, too
so I guess you're not a Saints fan then
Let's not delude yourselves, Skins fans...
I'll take it however I can get it.
Tied only counts when they count it, and if they counted it today, we wouldn't be tied now would we?
A mere technicality. You're still 6-7 at the end of the day.
If we're in first place, everything else is a technicality.
It's a technicality (actually a series of them) that lets y'all claim first place to begin with!
Not a technicality anymore!
Well met. But let's see where this thing goes.
#HTTR #BYEEAGLESBYE
But if he joins Kyle for a Fuller Fuller CB combo in Chicago, I'm pretty sure that guarantees at least a Super Bowl per Fuller #Fullersssss...Assemblllllllllllllle!!!!!
Smart move to get away from the VT medical staff as quickly as possible.
Bon voyage Kendall. Thanks Fuller the memories
Who would have thought the Fuller Era and the Beamer Era would end in the same year?
Fuente excites me but I'm just so sad right now.
Now we know the real reason behind Beamer's retirement. Couldn't bear the thought of coaching a team with no Fullers.
Steelers need some DB's bad. That would be awesome. Much better opportunity to win the ring.
Hope there are a few Fuller sons wearing Orange and Maroon a couple of decades down the line. Until then.
I didn't even think of that. Edmunds + Fulllers all find athletic wives...erghhh..athletic significant others...err...anybody that's athletic that wants to get down. Some many more possibilities.
I keep hearing this song in my head...
Isn't there a DB recruit named fuller out of the mid Atlantic this year?
Best of luck to Kendall. Would have loved to seen him suit up in the orange and maroon one more year, but didn't expect it to happen, and don't blame him one bit.
Deshaun Watson honored the 4 Fuller brothers this year

I'm so glad we have Fuente, to get me so excited over recruits, that Fuller leaving isn't even phasing me.
but is it fazing you?
"Gentlemen, set your phasers on faze."
I know what you're trying to grammar police, but I did mean phase. :)
It's not adjusting the relationship between me and my current feelings about the situation.
Best of luck to Kendall
A Silver lining here: The reason why we refer to VT as DBU is because we have had a DB drafted in every years draft for a number of years. If Fuller did not choose to go to the draft, who else would be in the pool to carry on DBU traditions. I see it as taking one for the team. Thanks Kendall
I'm pretty sure that streak ended the year that Ky. Fuller and Exum both came back for their senior seasons
Popping my silver bubble. Didn't we get a waiver for 2013 because a Fuller was still drafted? /s
It is a shame that he isn't coming back, but I do not blame him at all. It would have been fun to watch Facyson and Fuller (IF HEALTHY) together next season, but oh well.
It would have been fun to watch Fuller play a whole season this year, but him being out gave the younger guys some valuable experience and that will help us next season. If Fuller and Facyson both player this year we would be wondering about the young guys with little to no experience.
This sounds like a pyramid scheme but...
I think we need each Fuller brother to have at least 4 sons a piece. Spaced out correctly, we could enjoy anywhere from 5-20 years of Fullers (I'm not checking my math)
Then if each of them have 4 sons.......
Doesn't matter, their daughters will be good too
And if each has 4 sons in the same 4 years, we can realistically have a full defense and all skill positions on offense be Fullers. HOLY SHIT.
May the world still look kindly upon the Fuller brother who has all daughters.
The Olympic sports could use standouts also. Didn't Mama Fuller play college sports?
I didn't think this warranted its own post, so I embedded it here.
Under the new "rules" of the draft board and considering how few TE's are even coming out this year that's not good Bob, sounds like he won't get drafted if he leaves.
FYI, Todd McShay just projected Kendall to go to the Colts at 21 in his Mock 1.0 (ESPN Insider req). So looks like Kendall is still considered pretty highly even with the injury.
