According to InsideNova, all purpose back recruit Ricky Slade injured his knee after breaking a school record with a 98 yard touchdown run in CD Hylton's triple overtime loss to Battlefield. Following the run, Slade did not return and was seen icing his knee.

Slade is considered the Hokies top running back target for 2018. Slade has offers for most of the major programs in the country.
I will share more information as it is made available.

I hope it's not serious! Knee injuries are scary :(
Really want the coaches to get this kid. He seems like he can do it all.
The Washington Post wrote that he's been dealing with a nagging knee injury all summer but they cited it as cramps that kept him off the field.

Edit: Retweet from Slade.
Sweet!
That makes more sense. You don't score a 98-yard TD run with a significant knee injury, unless you get hit at or near the end zone, either during the run or in the ensuing TD celebration. Plus, it being rather hot & humid, and the first game, also would play a part in why he was cramping.
Let's hope he's on his way to a fantastic season and a Hokie future!
Any word on how he liked the game this past weekend?
