ACC Awards - Seth Allen 6th Man of the Year

Seth Allen named Sixth Man of the Year by a landslide. He was also an honorable mention for All-ACC along with Zach LeDay.

I was most surprised that Buzz only received a couple votes for ACC Coach of the Year. I know GT had a surprisingly great season and Josh Pastner is very deserving of the award, I just thought that Buzz would receive a little more than 3 votes.

The coach of the year award usually has a lot to do with how the team did vs pre-season expectations. Pastner deserved it in my eyes. I didn't think GT would win an ACC game this year

VT 2016
Go Hokies

I think they were mostly shocked that Pastner could coach at all.

Roy Williams getting 2nd place is a crime.

Wet stuff on the red stuff.

Why? He won the regular season in by far the toughest basketball conference and won 10 games against top-50 opponents. Seems like a hell of a good job to me...

Because it was expected that they do that.

Expectations of top teams fall through all the time, such as Duke this year. Just because they have a lot of top talent doesn't necessarily make the coaching job easier, just different issues to deal with.

If only there was a best closer in the country award.

if there were a "hottest 3 point shooter in the country award" ty outlaw would've won in a landslide

just realized we dont do gifs....well i made a gif,

So many good players in the ACC this year.

I expect that will translate into March runs.

Well earned. I really like his game, he has so many fakes and stop-and-start attacks that he can string together in different combinations, can finish with both hands around the rim, uses his body well. Fun to watch.

The Dude Abides

Not a dook fan at all, but in the horrible and miserable existence that the possibility would be fathomed, I would be pissed Kennard didn't win POY. He was the only unanimous 1st team selection, leads the conference in ppg and finished *4th* in POY voting. WTF?!? HUH?!? Too much politics and media loyalty in these awards.

Kennard's stat line is better than Jackson's IMO. He was the primary reason they didn't crash from the tailspin due to Trips McGee. (and Tatum on occasion).

Props to Allen on his award. Well deserved!

.

Duke basketball is my second most hated sports team/franchise across all boundaries, and I agree Kennard should have won POY.

I've had no problem hating Duke players over the years, but I just can't hate Kennard. He's a pro player.

In Sam Rogers we trust.
