College Gameday will be in Harrisonburg, VA for Villanova vs JMU.
Just a thought, but it would be cool to see some Virginia Tech flags there in the background.

Am I going to be bored? Hell no I'm going to enjoy myself and take advantage of not being arsed over whether or not we take a giant crap in our game.
Yes, a very relaxing, non heart attack inducing weekend.
Will be in Louisville for the Ironman and (hopefully) the UL-BC game. So, no....I will not willingly be the butt of every joke at Gameday.
I feel bad for anyone having to watch that BC offense 2 weeks in a row.
BC fans are having to watch it for 9 weeks straight, then another 3 weeks straight.. assuming they dont make a bowl game.
I never feel for VT foes
They could take the UVA approach and just not watch.
I thought that's what they were doing based on the crowd in the stands Saturday night.
I plan to drink a beer for every minute I don't have to worry about VA Tech football. May Cam heal nicely. God Bless the Bye Week.
Yes
DIY sunroom floor replacement, so, no.
Thinking about doing the same. Love to see what you are doing here
No, I'd rather not go and have every fan there remind me of that day that shall not be mentioned. Plus all the signs about it.
Haunted trail weekend!
We could always bring up another "Cake vs Pie" debate!
You can't debate something that has already been decided. #TeamPieWon
Just before reading this thread I saw famous rock climber / crazy person Alex Honnold voted TeamCake on a thread over on mountainproject.com. Very disappointing for a staunch member of TeamPie like me.
If you aren't familiar with Alex click this: El Cap solo
I just brought 8 cds so I'm good to next week
CDs...
SEE DEEZE NUTS!!!
Oh Shit you got us good
There is a man who plans for his financial future without taking on any risk! Sad the interest is so low.
It's a day to go to the pumpkin patch without worrying about game time.
And then a Foo Fighters concert.
Richmond? Looking for last minute tickets.....
never bored
I absolutely love bye weeks, especially after a win. No stress, still great games to watch, and getting to spend time with my amazing girlfriend. Unfortunately, I'm on a quite lengthy business trip, so neither of the three will happen.
Pretty sure I'm going to watch all the games I missed so far this season.
- Mike Leach is back, and he's found a way to incorporate an actual running attack into his traditional Air Raid. Definitely going to be binge watching these games
- Paul Johnson is 3-1? Yeah, probably going to see what he's been up to.
- I've James Franklin was the most over hyped coach in college football for a while... but apparently he's building something in Penn State. Going to have to see it with my own eyes to see what's going on.
- Tom Herman in Texas. How is that experiment going?
- San Diego State has another running back putting up insane numbers. Gotta catch that.
- Chip Peterson always has something interesting going in his playbook, for sure going to want to see how his system has developed since Boise State.
I could honestly watch every college football game every season... there's just not enough time
Think I might be in the same boat... My step daughter is with her biological father this weekend (so I don't have to hear her whine for that God awful Peppa pig show during a game-i love her to death, but if I have to watch another episode of that I might snap) and my son is always down to watch any sort of football, so I should be in the clear
Probably going to binge on some West coast stuff and top it off with some upset specials. Definitely going to watch that ISU-OU game. Just for laughs.
Many decades-long PSU fans believe Saquon Barkley is the best running back they've ever had.
Let that sink in.
He's probably the best running back in college football right now.
Their OC is a genius. He will be a head coach sooner than later.
Watch but don't expect a lot of drama. PSU is the best team in the Big Ten right now.
Yeah, we'll see how good they are after Barkley leaves. It's amazing how 1 player can make the difference between top 5-10 and top 20-25, but those players are rare. Barkley is one of them.
Bye weeks are when we specifically schedule our fall trip to Disney World.
Hey, UVA Football will be on TV next weekend!
** Ducks **
It really is a shame UNCheat is so bad this year. They have a 7 game streak against the wahoos on the line this weekend and it looks like LOLUVa will fall ass backwards into a win.
Agree. They've gone 5-9 including the hurricane game.
UNC fans right now are like...

Hurricanes are definitely bak.
They truly baffling thing to me is that UVA is a 3-4 pt fav at UNC. VT is a 2.5 pt fav, playing UNC at home after a bye week. How the hell do those odds make sense?
Might be wrong, but most sportsbooks wont publish their official lines until after this week's games are played. They cant have us degenerates getting lucky with an injury to a key player the week before. I expect us to get 9.5 or so
simple misplacement of the decimal....I'm sure it was meant to be "25." point favorite, not 2.5
For instance, the site I use closed betting on the Clemson game, presumably because there was a rush to bet on Syracuse (+21). I expect it to re-open with a much smaller spread now that Bryant is injured.
Should be a great atmosphere. Do they set up on the quad?
Nice to see the top teams in the commonwealth represented frequently.
They set up on the quad in 2015, and it looks like that's the plan again this time. Looking forward to attending my first GameDay.
The first one at JMU in 2015 was really cool - the excitement & enthusiasm was really contagious and I imagine it was very much like the first visits to Blacksburg in 1999.
JMU has a great thing going with their football program and it's good to see the Commonwealth represent well in the college football world.
With both Tech and Penn State (wife's team) off, I can finally finish building our new dining/gaming table.
Attending two tech games, bad weather and working in someone else's garage have turned this into a 6 week project.
Our 7 night cruise begins on the 14th and ends on the 21st. Perfect timing for a BYE, but hate I won't be back in time for the UNC game.
If anyone is bored you can go hangout with the Miami Dolphins OL coach. He seems like a pretty chill guy, and he might not be working later this week, or season.
Chill? I think he was using the other stuff
Now confirmed: he will in fact not be doing anything later this week, or season.
I'm completely shocked that drug use would ever be associated with the city of Miami or any of it's sports teams...
Obligatory:

i have a wife and 2 kids ... i am quite certain i have to adult or at least fake it.
I'll be at a tournament in Anaheim. I couldn't be happier with the USFA scheduling the first national tournament of the season on our bye week.
Sounds like a way to constantly get reminded of the last time they played us. Instead I'm gonna go to the Ohio State @ Nebraska game and hope the corn can pull a 3+ touchdown upset....if not I'll change into my VT shirt.
Pretty sure there will be VT signs anyway...
SIGH!!!
To what are you referring, hmmm? Oh you mean that little mishap in 2010 that resulted in an ACC championship? And is the singular thing that JMU scales their football program to? It is bigger to them than any National Championship they ever won.
I want to play them again so we can beat them by 50 so they'll shut up about it
We scheduled our daughter's 2nd birthday party a week early to coincide with the bye week. In a nutshell, I will be trying not to get too drunk on Ernie's Rubber Duckie Blue Punch. (Sesame Street themed party)
Kids have an early afternoon thing (and I'm involved), so I'll miss the first slate of games. Doesn't really seem like it will be that compelling anyway.
I'm flying to Dallas to see OU-Texas because why the hell not?
I saw the spread for that was OU (-7.5). Vegas is really punishing OU for that ISU loss, but in thinking a lot of that is people betting UT on sentiment. I think Oklahoma rolls Texas, personally. They have a lot to prove to get back into the CFP conversation and it's a rivalry game.
Also, Texas lost to Maryland and that's just unforgivable. Especially since UMd got pummeled by anOSU...who lost to OU. {It'sScience.gif}
Yeah, I'm seeing that as a blowout. Embarrassing loss then the Shootout against a not so amazing Texas? Thinking like 55-17 OU.
Going to the NashVegas area for an evening wedding. Nephew and I need to have a VERY serious talk about the timing of this. At least he chose VT's bye week.
Virginia Beach, no tv, get a nice break
Two replies from that twitter account.
This offends me.
