I think the ODU QB's completion % and yards/pass in this video was roughly the same as it was when we played them
They sacrificed a virgin or something before our game and before this game. That's the only explanation that I can think of for the ending to this game.

At the very least I'm sure they broke the record for untimed field goals, and probably was the first time where both teams had untimed field goals.

1 FG attempt as time expired. 2 FG attempts as untimed downs (one for each team). An almost kick six. I guess this is all the more reason to let it go to OT instead of attempting a prayer FG far outside your kicker's range.
Might want to take another look, all 3 field goals were untimed. The last timed snap came with 2 seconds left and was an incomplete pass, but there was a Roughing the Passer penalty that allowed the first FG attempt.

It's so weird having just finished my masters from there in August. I get ODU email promoting plaques they made of their win, and I just want to throw my computer across the room. I don't have a shred of happiness for that school...
This makes me happy to hear. Making a plaque about a regular season win only exposes how low of an opinion they have of their own team and how high of an opinion they have of ours. This is the same reason I hated the "Mission Accomplished" shirts.
Yeah, "Mission Accomplished" was embarrassing. But at least the T-Shirts we made didn't cost $100...
For the life of me I can't figure out why ODU just didn't throw 50 times for 5 TDs and 80% completion percentage on WKU? I'll never understand that.
