Pittsburgh Roll Call

Who all is going and where will you be hanging out at?

I'm heading up Thursday to catch the Steelers game as well and staying in town until Sunday. Not sure yet if I'm setting up a tailgate or just bar hopping before the game on Sat, but probably the latter. Would like to choose a spot with at least a few other Hokie fans. Jerome Bettis grill is always cool but packed, and there are a couple other decent spots on the North Shore as well.

Regardless of my dislike for Pitt's college sports programs, I always enjoy my trips to the 'Burgh. Truly a sports town with a lot of good people... Hope to see plenty of O&M there!

I'm going up and staying with a friend in town. I think we will be bar hopping before the game.

I'll be getting into town Friday night and staying with a buddy of mine who's a Pitt alum. Probably going to hit whichever bars he recommends before and after the game.

The Orange and Maroon you see, that's fighting on to victory.

Same here... we usually end up somewhere by the strip near the stadium. MacFaddens or the Bettis bar are the most frequented. I'll have a group of 3 Hokies and 1 Pitt fan. I think you will find just as many Hokie fans as Pitt fans especially for the pregame. That's how it was last time.

Yeah McFadden's is pretty cool. Rivertowne is also not bad and has a lot of TVs.

Went to Bettis's in 2014 when we played at Heinz. Lots of Hokies there that day, including Bruce Smith.

Best thing about Bettis's: The mens room has one-way glass so you can pee and look at everyone at the bar.

Yes! first time I experienced that I was hammered and got more of a kick out of it than I probably should have.

Where's everyone sitting as well? I'm in section 113 (visitor side) row E.

I'll be in town starting all day Friday and staying in a Hilton downtown. Looking forward to checking out some of the breweries and parks.

Same. Friday is supposed to be rainy but good game day weather. Was hoping to nab tickets to the Tenacious D show at Stage AE on Friday night but they're outrageous on stubhub

For anyone going that is interested in breweries:
1) Fat Heads
2) Brew Gentleman
3) Dancing Gnome
4) Hitchhiker Brewing Company

For Bourbon (and good food): Butcher and The Rye

Southern Tier right by the stadium is great.

Cigar smokers check out Burn on North shore. Between the stadiums.

I'm no Eshiben but I did sleep at the Holiday Inn Express last night - Pitt weather forecast for Saturday - snow showers before noon, high 37, winds 10 to 20... layer up
