Once again, last weekend was rough for me. I came out slightly ahead only because I bet as much on anOSU (-14) as I did on all my other bets combined, but still feels like a hollow victory. What did we learn? Alabama is going to steamroll everyone, but not as much as expected (they are 1-2 ATS). UNCHeat was 1 second away from...still not getting a TD to make my multiple UNC (+3.5) bets hit. And, lastly, LOLUVa doesn't have the clout to put away a team as crappy as FSU and managed to only win by 7 despite the fact that the line was (-7.5). Fuck LOLUVa I mean, don't bet, kids.
Anyway, on to this week's lines.
- Tulane (-5): I watched the Houston/Washington State game and I honestly thought Houston looked decent. This seems skewed by the fact that Tulane put up 58 points in their last game, but I still like Houston here outright.
- LOLUVa (-29): I know the wahoos are better than us right now. I know they should bury ODU. I also know that I'm gonna take ODU (+29) because...well, I'm stupid, but there it is.
- Miami (-30.5): I have been underwhelmed by Miami. They lost a sloppy game to Florida and then gave away a game to a less than stellar UNCHeat team. I mean, they did beat BC, 63-0 so that's nothing to scoff at. Oh wait, that's Bethune Cookman, not Boston College. I'm taking the underdogs and the points.
- Washington State (-19). UCLA managed to make the ESPN bottom 10 this week. Coincidentally so did the entire ACC, but that's another story for another time. I don't know what the final score will be, but I expect Washington State to win by at least 19 and for UCLA to score 14, because, in that, they've been oddly consistent despite playing three wildly different teams.
As always, please do not take my ramblings as legitimate gambling advice. You will lose your shirt and anything else you're foolish enough to bet based on my idiocy.
Lines may change over the course of the week. I also may have made errors copying them. Always triple check when money is at stake

If I had $100 burning a hole in my wallet:
BC -7 $20
SU -5 $30
TCU -9.5 $25
Notre Dame +14 $15
Colorado +7.5 $10
Put the whole $100 on Wisconsin at home -3.5
Colorado +7.5 is my top pick. Notre Dame +14 stuck out too.
BC = $40
SU = $60
TCU = $0
ND = $30
Colorado = $20
$100 —> $150.
Currently 1-2 on the year. Never trust a ranked Maryland team to win. They've now lost 5 straight games while ranked.
Michigan State has trouble breaking the 20 point barrier against P5 defenses and Northwestern is getting 9.5 points at home? Sparty may control the game but I don't see them winning by that margin. Give me the Wildcats.
Fun fact, the #21 ranking is something so far this year...
Week 1, #21 Iowa State takes triple OT to beat FBS Northern Iowa.
Week 2, #21 Syracuse gets smoked by the Twerps 63-20.
Week 3, #21 Maryland gets pounded by Temple.
Week 4, #21 UVA faces ODU.........
There's your #21 not covering yet again....
Shame ODU didn't play harder.
Clemson (-41.5) vs UNC Charlotte
Kansas +5 at home versus the living-up-to-their-unofficial-log-of-a-burning-couch WVU
Bronco will have UVA mentally prepared to play ODU, so they likley won't turn the ball over 3 times and have a bunch of penalties. I like UVA with the points. ODU won't play as hard against them either.
"as hard".... VT gave them the ECU gift... losing to them. Now ODU will forever know that they can beat VT, so they will play harder with that confidence than they will against UVA. See many ECU teams losing to tulsa, Marshall, Navy, etc, etc, after beating VT. Same deal here.
At lunch Thursday, 98% of the money for the line per Vegas Insider is on ODU...
How's everyone feel about the A&M and Auburn game? Not putting money on it but that game is in a pick em I'm in. Picks ATS.
aTm giving 4.5...meh. Think Auburn could keep it under a touchdown, but at 4.5, it's an odd feel. Both are 3-0 ATS this year. Go Auburn. aTm has played 2 cupcakes and got frosted in the 3rd. Auburn will cover and could potentially win outright. Of course, I have no idea...so take that with a small spec of salt.
Too many unknowns in both teams.
FSU -6.5 seems wayyy off.
Edit:Hand up, horrible take.
Edit: Hold that thought...
well, Louisville may be on their third string QB, for what that's worth.
Took Clemson (-43) because Charlotte is the kind of team Clemson likes to run up the score on. Well we've got 6 minutes to go and Clemson is up 52-10 doubtful they try to drive in another score. Would have been 52-3 but they muffed a punt at the Clemson 12 and even Charlotte couldn't fail to put that in.
Vegas is Latin for voodoo.
So I've been keeping track of "if I was forced to pick" ats for the ACC just to gauge my own knowledge. Went a horrid 4-7 last week and cam back strong this week at 7-2. Had a good week going to quit my job move to Vegas and gamble for a living see yall.
Went to bed thinking I absolutely bombed this week. Turns out, I was 1 4th down trick play away from winning this 10 team parlay.
We open -7 vs Duke... current line -2.5 in less than a day... hmmmm
