I can imagine no more rewarding a career. And any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile, I think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction:
“I served in the United States Navy"

Thank you, and wow this is a tough call

I'm really hoping to not have to make a tiebreaker.

Honestly a bit surprised that Platoon knocked off Guns.

It was tied at 19, but the last two votes pushed it over.

Guns is a great movie. Platoon is a great movie. Braveheart is a pretty good movie that has not aged as well as the other 3 to be honest. This is the correct finals matchup.

But I think for most people (below a certain age), when they hear the term "war movie", Saving Private Ryan is the first movie that comes to mind, and with good reason.

My only issue with that is newer doesn't always mean better. Look at most of the remakes of movies, tv, etc.

But I agree, SPR is a good movie. Guns and Platoon were both great movies.
