Indoor Track and Field - Hokie Invitational - 1/21/22 and 1/22/22

Indoor Track and Field is back at it this Friday and Saturday at Rector for the Hokie Invitational. The Hokies will be facing athletes from Charlotte, Clemson, Duke, Georgetown, Louisville, NC State, Tennessee, UCF, UNC, UVA, and Wake Forest.

Contributing events for the men's heptathlon and the women's pentathlon will kick off tomorrow morning with the rest of the events starting in the afternoon and running into Saturday.

A couple of interesting tidbits:

-Barbora Malikova is making her college track debut. She ran the 400m for the Czech Republic in Tokyo, three time Czech National Champion in the 400m, etc., etc. I'm curious to see how she does in the 800 600m. They don't list the participants in the 4x400, but I would guess she will be in that.
-Kristin Kristjansdottir - has competed internationally for Iceland since 2017 and holds a number of Iceland National records at the U13, U15, U18, U20 and U23 levels. She will be in the pentathlon this week, but last week she competed in individual events and finished 4th in her 60m Hurdle heat and 12th in the long jump.
