ACC Wrestling Awards were announced this morning. The Hokies wrestling team grabbed two of three possible awards. Pete Yates, the Hokies 165 pound wrestler, was named ACC Wrestler of the Year after winning his second ACC Title and placing 4th in the NCAA Championships to finish his career as a two-time All American.
Coach Kevin Dresser won ACC Coach of the Year, after leading the Hokies to their first ACC Team Title. The team also had their best finish in school history at the NCAA Championships, where they placed 10th.
UNC's 125 pound wrestler, Nathan Kriasser, won ACC Freshman of the Year.
