Its somewhat disappointing that coach Frank Beamer is ranked fifth in the current ACC coach rankings considering hes still the winningest active coach in the country (http://espn.go.com/blog/acc/post/_/id/40499/accs-winningest-coaches ) .
I can not wait for VT to regain dominance by regularly winning 10 games so that Beamer can get the respect he deserves on the national stage.

a year go people were calling for jimbo to be fired then along came the crab stealing thief. The only one that I respect on that list other than Beamer is cutcliffe. he took a lousy duke team and made them believe in each other and they actually have some good players coming in .

Meh, I can't argue too much.
Jimbo? He just won the National Championship. He is the best coach in the ACC, and you'd be hard pressed to find anyone who would argue otherwise.
Dabo? I might have an issue, but at the same time, he's taken Beamer to the woodshed every time the teams have met since he took the job. But at the same time, he surrounded himself with excellent coordinators, so the jury is still out on whether or not the success was because of Dabo or the others. We'll find out this year and next when the talent resets.
Cutcliffe? Duke won the Coastal. Let me repeat that... DUKE WON THE COASTAL... Cutcliffe is the only guy I'd put up there as challenging Jimbo as best coach in the conference. The job he's done is nothing short of phenomenal.
Petrino? He's won at Louisville before, and he won last year. We'll have to see just how good they are without Bridgewater, and how good they'll be playing in the Atlantic (personally, I think they're due for a very rude awakening) but he's a good coach. Better than Beamer? Arguable
I agree with every point here. I think the article was more geared towards best coaches last year not lifetime in the ACC

Lists like these are all about who is trending in what direction. I can't really argue with the Top 3, but Bobby Petrino at 4 is a bit ridiculous. Take solace in the fact that the author properly addressed CML's...err...strengths.
The writer basically acknowledges that his list is more a "What have you done for me lately" than an actual evaluation of coaching. Having Bobby Petrino higher than Frank though is still ludicrous no matter what way you look at this. He has only been a head coach for just over 100 games and the only place he has been spectacular was in his final couple seasons at Arkansas as a coach. The same could be said about David Cutcliffe, what he has done at Duke the last season has been great but he is still 31-44 at Duke and 15-33 in the conference.
Yeah, no kidding. He also just rips Thomas and has zero regard for the other 10 guys on offense in his justification for dropping Beamer. Well, asking football analysts to actually have a clue outside of the W-L column is probably a stretch anyways.
What offended me was that Al Golden was just behind Beamer. I can see arguments for the other ACC coaches being ahead of Beamer. But Al Golden is a mediocre coach at a prestigious program, does that automatically bump him up or something?
Larry Fedora at UNC is actually just behind Beamer, Golden is ranked behind Fedora. I wouldn't go so far as to put the mediocre stamp on Al Golden. He managed to get Temple to nine wins and eight wins in his last two seasons there, and he has Miami on an upward track win wise since his first season there. (6-6) to (7-5) to (9-4). If Golden gets Miami into Double figure win counts this season, I think he more than justifies the ranking where he is but that's a big if depending on what their defense did this offseason and how they come to play next year. If I was some of the coaches towards the bottom of this list, I would be more upset that Paul Johnson was ranked 8th.

Time out! WTH man! London is all about building a dynasty on the backs of underdeveloped 5 star talent...with no organizational support, zero far-seeing leadership, and a warm cup of jack squat.
