In spirit of the NFL Redzone network ... Every VT scoring play from the 2014 season ... https://t.co/sJuDCVSFuA @TechSideline #Hokies— OXVT (@OX_VT) January 29, 2015
If you ignore several of the scores at the bottom through the middle of the video, it's rather enjoyable. But overall, it makes me excited for the future. Those guys you saw scoring all those points? Yep, they'll be back next year, better than ever. I'm really hoping Juice and Shai can get (and stay) healthy.
Anyone have a favorite? Or a favorite non-scoring play? It's the offseason, time to reminisce!

Going from the pick 6 which beat anOSU to being scoreless and down 21 to ECU makes me freaking cringe.
Otherwise this is awesome.
That was great.
Here's hoping the 2015 edition is twice as long.
That team effort touchdown at 4:40 is easily my favorite.
agreed. Well, that or the sack-fumble-fumble-TD from the bowl game
Or the Brewer scoop and score, just how Lefty drew it up.
Such pretty runs by shai and marshawn. If JC can keep it up at let them take their time coming back, our run game has a bright future.
Do you guys think Shai or Marshawn play at all next season? I can't remember when Williams tore his ACL, but I fell like his recovery will overlap with next season. Hopefully JCC continues his hot streak.
I'm skeptical about both of them, for different reasons. Shai's injury was the second in the same leg. That's bad news. Juice's was just later in the season, and he'd be pushing the "quick" recovery time by participating in fall camp. Earliest he would come back is late (October) next season, I would think. At that point, I say keep him resting and be full 100% for 2016. Same with Shai - we need to be careful with him. If he blows the ACL again, he's done. As much as I believe these guys are the kind of talent we need to win games, health is paramount, and I have my concerns about each. If given proper time and rehab, I think they will be fine, but that may not be in 2015.
In addition, I think there will be a desperation element in play. If Trey, JCC and McMillian set the world on fire it'll be a lot easier to give Shai and Juice an extended recovery. If we struggle like we did early this season, Lefty will probably rush them back sooner than advisable in hopes of jump starting the run game.
Indeed. DJ Reid is also available, as is incoming recruit Deshawn McClease. You can never have too much depth at RB, as we've seen, so I really hope we pull guys off the bench (if needed) before Juice and Shai get pressed into duty if they're not ready.
Did Reid also have injury issues this past season, or am I thinking of Jerome Wright?
That was Wright. Reid was a normal redshirt.
Except didn't Wright's end up getting burned? Because we absolutely needed him for the six carries he saw between Miami and BC.......
At that point in the season we were throwing everything against the wall just to see if anything would stick. Desperation move, no doubt, but I can't blame them for giving him a shot
Man, that is a lot of field goals.
Man, that is a lot of made field goals.
psst...they don't show any misses in this video
I was speaking in relation to last year, for example.
Is it August yet?
Nope.
I love this, I always try to catch the TD montage on Redzone Channel on Sunday nights. That being said we did not do a whole lot of scoring this year.
Goes to show how tough Brewer is. He gets destroyed on most of his TD passes in the first half of the video. Also a testament to the O line improvement over the season.
Oh the lone highlight from the Wake game
Favorite has to be the punt block recovery in the endzone, just for pure nostalgia. Plus, as Bucky was the one who recovers it, it means we're back to playing our absolute best talent on special teams, something we've gotten away from for a couple seasons.
Watching that montage a few more times, my goodness did Brewer have some nice touch on a lot of those passes. He threw his share of boneheaded passes in the first five games, but this guy has the tools to thread a needle when he has to. Excited to see what an offseason with Lefty and Gentry can do for him.
Things always look better when you're watching the highlight reel. I image we'd all feel much worse if we watched a compilation of of every called passing play (or, God forbid, every passing play that resulted in a sack, incompletion, or pick) and realized it was a couple hours long (warning: hyperbole)
I remember watching when VTPhreak did his long series of highlight videos (I think it ended up being every game from 1993 to present) and just being struck by how many times there were bad snaps or punters simply dropped the ball because they were so worried about getting the ball out quickly simply because of our reputation. Man those were the days.
My favorites:
Kendall six pick vs UNC
Brewer hustle TD on the Shai fumble
Riley six pick vs OSU
Anything Marshawn Williams does. I love the way he runs
Nigel Williams/Greg Stroman
PUNT BLOCK TD VS LOLUVA. The perfect intersection of everything.
Plus I dig the swashbuckling theme song
Juice runs angry in the redzone
Dear baby Jesus, please let Shai return to 100% form
