Zohn's got his work cut out for him in year one, that's for sure. I'm hoping the experience of Asante, Knowles and Meyer proves to be worth something for whoever assumes a larger role this season.
Edit: lol grammar and sentence structure.

Getting Kline back this year could be big. He and Malleck each in as a TE, allowing Bucky to split out wide when needed, and still have two TE's in a more traditional set.

I wonder if/when we are going to move Bucky from TE to WR? He seems to be better lining up outside or in the slot than playing with his hand on the ground.

Nobody covered Hodges with a linebacker after the Ohio State game. Best case he got a safety.
That being said, the performance of the other receivers dictates if Hodges will get a favorable matchup. He needs one. His speed and size are difficult to deal with, but his route running still isn't good enough to get separation against an equally talented defender. For him to be a fixture outside would require an upgrade on his route running, specifically reading option routes, selling double moves, and doing plant/comeback routes with sharp cuts.

Plenty of ways around that. Bitter is by far the best reporter covering the Hokies. Either use privacy browsing, go through the Hampton roads paper or delete cookies or use a different browser.

Carlis Parker should have been redshirted as a freshman, if so he would probably still be here. I dont have much faith in Knowles or Asante turning the corner as seniors. Maybe Meyer can make the jump, stay healthy and play well this year. I know Logan was talking him up big time one off season. Even if Bradshaw and Newsome step up and are ready to play, we are still kinda slim there.

I doubt that they will. More of a match up problem when lining up as a tight end and having to be covered by a LB.
Keep in mind he didn't catch a single pass last year when lined up as a traditional TE. All came when he was split.

Anyone seen any news about the future of Stanford, Parker or Holland?
Just saw a picture that was just posted with Stanford hanging out with Logan Thomas. Is Stanford staying at Twch just not with the team?
