The Hokies have added their second commit in as many days, with 2017 ATH Bryce Watts of Toms River North (N.J.) HS making his pledge to Virginia Tech.

Watts announced his decision on Twitter late on Jan. 21.

Watts previously told The Key Play that he's taking his official visit to Blacksburg this weekend.

The 6-0, 170 pound New Jersey prospect, who's rated a 3-star recruit by the 247Sports Composite ranking, committed to Rutgers last March. But the Hokies decided to offer him in May, and he de-committed from the Scarlet Knights on Jan. 15. Watts also reported ACC offers from Boston College, Pittsburgh, and Syracuse.

Watts played as both a defensive back and a wide receiver in his senior season at Toms River North HS.

I can imagine no more rewarding a career. And any man who may be asked in this century what he did to make his life worthwhile, I think can respond with a good deal of pride and satisfaction:
“I served in the United States Navy"
