This schedule sux. however the only good thing about not having the thursday ngiht game is the possibility of a saturday night kick vs. UNC OR PITT. We have only had 1 saturday night kick in a century (2010 clemson). If UNC was on thursday, we would likely not have one this year either. Thats the only positive I got.

Homecoming
One of those two games is homecoming. Probably Pitt, which is the worse matchup anyway. If UNC has a hot start, I could see a 3 PM kick, but no night game unless we're both undefeated.
UNC's schedule is USCe, MTSU, GT and ECU before playing us this year. If they can win all 4 of those then they could very easily be top 15. I don't think USCe is that good, but the pollsters will overrate them as an SEC team so if UNC can win that one then they're setting themselves up nicely for a top 15 ranking by October 5th. Obviously we would need to beat Alabama to be up there with them. But if we do win over Bama then we're probably top 10 by the time that game roles around. I could see a 6:30 start or later for a game that big in the ACC. Who knows, maybe even Gameday will show up.
If we can both manage to be unbeaten...
both teams will definitely be top-15, and we'll almost certainly be top-10 unless Bama takes a dump.
Help us UNC, you're our only hope

Also, they could help us out by bolting to another conference...
Not to bring up a sour memory
2005 Miami and UNC were Saturday night kickoffs at home as was 2003 Miami. Also 2006 Southern Miss was a 7 pm kick surprisingly (I thought it was and had to check- ESPN U). Duke was at 5 pm on a Saturday in 2008 (odd time) In terms of this decade, I don't think we've had one at home. We've had plenty on the road since 2004 (BC in 2006, NC State in 2005, Miami/Wake also in 2006, Nebraska in 2008, and Wake in 2011) but our home night games have been sparse for sure since 2004. Here's to hoping that both us and UNC are playing great football by that week so maybe we can get the ESPN U night slot...
Clemson in 2010?
Sorry, 2011
Clemson came to the Burg in 2011, sat night kick. I think we lost 24-3 or something like that. THen lost rematch in ACC title game.
Give us more credit, they only scored 23
smdh
I picked a crappy game to attend, only to miss a spectacular one to follow.
Drove all the way from Chicago...
Can't believe I came for that one but missed the Miami one...
