Lady Hokies got off to a good start and proceeded to stomp all over Pitt last night and move to 10-7 on the season.
Kitley led the way in a 74-55 victory. She had 20 points, 8 rebounds AND 4 assists. The inside out game was working really well. Sheppard spent some time on the bench with fouls but still put up 16 points.
Georgia Amoore though really had a great game with 13 points and 6 assists. King and Gregg chipped in 9 a piece, Gregg also grabbed 9 rebounds and Baines grabbed 7 and scored 7.
The only major concern is that even in a blowout, Brooks only went three players deep on his bench and Gregg was the only significant contributor. Ennis and Green each had 2 assists but did not score.

I'm disappointed the Twitter fan base doesn't spam the opposing team losing announcement like they do for the men.

Kitley is fucking killing it lately. 20.7 ppg and 12.4 over the last 7 games. Sheppard is also up over 20 ppg over the last 10.
FAM. Another solid win. We are are playing really good ball against really good teams right now. If we are still working up to tournament time we will make a run we can be proud of for years. If we are on another peak on a wave we will need some timing if to make it work. I like where we are, where we are going, and what we are doing, but I am still not sure if Brooks can take us to the top level. Rest of the season is his chance to win me over, because I think this team can do it with the right mentality. Not saying NCAA champions, but strong ACC finish and real runs in the ACC and NCAA. Looks like we have recruited a team to do it. Can we get there.? Is Sheppard getting help dragging the team there? Fun to watch, but will be disappointed if this group settles for less than a program high. I'd hate it if believe more than the team/coaches do, but it looks like the NCSU win may have finally switched the flip. GO HOKiEs!
