With a salary cap hit of $20M, this was always a possibility. Now, reality. Kyle Fuller immediately becomes one of the top free agents available. https://t.co/nWDYDOXLHFβ Ian Rapoport (@RapSheet) March 18, 2021
He is one of the best free agency options out there. Maybe he can get on an all around competitive team.

Man I would love for the Titans to sign him
As a fellow Titans fan, I'd love this. He'd be a perfect fit in a position of desperate need. But I don't think they can make with work with their cap situation. They already had to let a few good guys go just to make the money work to get Bud Dupree.
Why we haven't restructured Tannehill's contract, turned his base salary into a signing bonus and spread it out over the next 5 years befuddles me. That's what every other team has been doing to get under this salary cap and with the new rights deals, pushing the money out doesn't hurt as bad.
Titan Up!
Guessing they plan on addressing the secondary and WRs through the draft. Hopefully Robinson can do better than last year's first rounder...
Watch him go to Washington and they rename the WFT the Washington Fullers
WFT
Washington
Fuller
Team
He's a 29 year old top 5 corner in the NFL. He will have many suitors. Get another bag Kyle, and lol at the Bears.
Anybody else LOL at the Bears? He played his way to a big contract and they cut him free to go wherever. The only thing that hurts is the really low cap for the teams this year. That said, somebody is break open the piggy bank.
extra funny because with better cap management they would have picked up his fifth year option and then signed him to an extension (or franchise tagged him). instead, they didn't pick up his option, he balled out, and they transition tagged him. Not just a franchise tag, but a transition tag that allowed him to negotiate with other teams. Green Bay offered him a lucrative deal that forced Chicago's hand. They matched the deal, he delivered an all-pro season, but the way the contract was always going to be untenable for them this year. (he likely would have been cut or renegotiated by green bay this offseason anyway).
I wouldn't be surprised to see him take a one year deal and come back next year when the salary cap should be higher due to the new tv deals.
Raiders need 2ndary help and I need an excuse to get a new jersey, lets do this!
Come to Big Blue Fuller
Oh god yes. G-men could definitely use him in their secondary. Do we have the room?
almost definitely "no" on the cap space unless gettleman gets really creative (lol at the suggestion)
Fuller + Bradberry would immediately be the best CB duo in the NFL
Yea.
Looks like most G-men supporters are holding their breath for any news on Golladay. I definitely think we could use a top WR like him, but the thought of having a pair of lockdown CBs is appealing as well.
"why not both" after all?
Golladay on big money and somehow squeezing in Adoree Jackson too, on top of the kyle rudolph signing.
Giants are putting together quite the squad on paper. I think we are in a great position going into the draft with the signings that we've locked down. If we can get a DE, OG, some depth at DT and LB we'd be set for the upcoming season.
....so Kyle. Green Bay isn't too far from Chicago. Pls...
Neither is Minneapolis, and a team that is actively retooling their defense, under a defensive-minded HC...
True, but I'm actively avoiding facts and reasoned judgement π It's defintely the Packs turn to have some Hokies in the NFC North (yes we have Yosh Nijiman, but 1 more hokie wouldn't hurt!)
I had high hopes for Jarrett Boykin breaking out for the Pack a few seasons ago...
I was all about trying to obtain one of his jerseys. The money situation didn't work out back then, and then Boykin was gone. I'm still upset that he didn't stick to this day.
Nah, y'all just got Patrick Peterson. You can't have two Christmases.
#VT2VIKINGS
As a recovering Vikings' fan (who, thankfully, lost all interest in the NFL and has not watched a game in years), I have to ask, why would you want a VT great to suffer through being a Viking? Ugh. Too many lost Superbowls (yes, I'm old enough to remember them), missed FGs in NFC Championship games ... Let him go to a non-cursed franchise and be happy.
Well Chicago isn't exactly a well oiled machine!
I was so excited a few seasons back when the pack was so close to signing him until the bears matched. Let's make up for that Gute
Hear hear!!
WFT
Ugh...please no. As a Giants fan I don't like rooting against so many Hokies. It was bad enough with Logan last year.
Well they are a football team now, and the Giants... well...
WFT has never won a game against NYG just sayin π€·ββοΈ
Never? You must be a kid ;)
He is discounting all the redskins stomping.
Two and Oh, baby
Wish this had happened a couple days ago before the Jags signed Shaquill Griffin.
Yep. Gotta say I'm not really impressed with the free agent signings so far.
Come on new England would be lethal with gilly gilly
Would love to see this but they spent over $200m in the first 24 hours of the free agent signing period. Not sure how much money they have left over.
I honestly dont know what has happened in NE all the sudden they're throwing cash like robert kraft in a massage parlor and its something I've never seen before from him or BB. Then again maybe the smart or krafty play like what NE typically does is free agency this season with so many good players on the market and the cut cap space makes it easier to make more reasonable deals than it would be next season.
Kyle please...the Cowboys need a secondary
Must not downvote for opinions... even as a ravens fan
Same. I'm a Bears fan. The Packers comment above almost made me sick to my stomach. This has been a gut punch finding out just recently after a 14 hour work day.
That's how I felt when the bears drafted him. I knew Kyle would be awesome for Chicago and I hated it β€
Joe, we need a new feature where we can make down voting not count, because while everyone is entitled to their opinion, everyone whole said any team not named the Steelers is factually incorrect and needs to go invisible in this dicussion
Ok, hear me out. Big Dance starts the day after big roster moves. Suddenly Kyle Fuller is looking for something to do.
12:15, Indianapolis (less than a three hour drive from Chicago, btw). Mike Young, mad scientist, has read Joel's preview on Florida's defensive advantage, their fast break potential. How do you counter that?
OH MAH GAWD, THAT'S KYLE FULLER'S MUSIC! If he can singlehandedly stop Chinballs option, he can stop Florida basketball. Shit, there's only five of them at a time?! Cake.
FINAL FOUR, BABY. VT 49 FL 17 (they get some garbage time points when we go prevent and we leave some points on the court when Kyle forgets what sport he's playing and just runs his INTs back over the end line).
Well I think they can be paid in other sports just not get endorsements and still be eligible so as long as he had no endorsements...
Kyle, Kendall, Vinny, Corey, Mama take the field, with Fifth coming in off the bench.
Had Washington not signed William Jackson a couple days ago, I would say he was definitely going to Washington given all the cap room we had. I don't think anyone really saw the Bears doing that. Or maybe just I didn't.
WTF WFT FTW!
I want him on the steelers but no cap room.
Kyle quickly signed with the Broncos on a 1 year $9.5 mil deal after being officially cut today. Reunites himself with Vic Fangio
Kyle Fuller to Broncos
This could REALLY impact Farley going too 10 picks.
Good googley modilly....9 mil guaranteed ! Sweet change!
That is only about half what he was due by Chicago though which sucks.
Damn, I thought maybe he'd come home to Mama Fuller and play for the Ravens. Ravens brass probably thought they didn't need him, but it would be nice to get a second corner who can tackle, plus get another Hokie in the secondary besides Chuck Clark. I think Marcus Peters went to the Dion Sanders school of tackling.
Next years free agency is going to be crazy if the cap catches back up to where it was supposed to be without Covid. So many 1 year deals for solid players that were cut due to the cap.
Yep, he's betting on himself this season with the 1 year deal so he can potentially get an even better contract next season.
