I didn't see an other games thread so figured I would start one.
I am interested to see the Illinois vs. Maryland game tonight to see how good either of those teams are.

Slow start for Maryland. Interested to see how well they throw the ball on Illinois.
I think it will be telling how good Virginia's pass game may be or how bad West Virginia's pass defense is
Hokies beat Hoos in soccer for only the 4th time ever (2nd in Blacksburg) on a goal in the 107th minute
UCF and Louisville has been a solid back and forth. Not sure why UCF keeps trying to get 7,8,9 yards on 3rd downs by doing 3 yard dump offs though
HOLY CRAP! UCF gets an int with under 30 left to try and set up for a win in plus territory. Louisville pick 6 next play and should win barring something crazy
Damnit I love this sport
The "3 DL, drop 8 all the way off camera" cracks me up
LET'S GO CARDS!! I "woo'd" aggressively at our campsite and folks from across the creek woo'd back. Here's to hoping tomorrow brings the same vibes.
Sure it wasn't bigfoot? If anything woos back while camping, I'm packing up, and heading home. I've seen that movie before.
Maryland does not look very good. I think there is a pretty good chance WVU is not very good if they got beat by this Maryland team.
What a fumble for td by Illinois...it's like they drew that play up intentionally
Yeah my perspective on college football is shifting to everyone is awful
Disappointing to see the terps pull that one out
Also news out of last night, QB Dillon Gabriel from UCF has a banged up shoulder, full severity tbd, but left in a sling and was icing the top of it. He was carted to the room after the game as well. Speculation is it's serious. Got injured on the last play of laterals.
Disappointed in UCF, they made a lot of poor play calling and left a lot of yards and points out there. Was not impressed with Louisville defense.
Bishop Gorman gave up 18 points in the final 70 seconds to lose.
I hope today has games as entertaining as the 2 last night!
I agree! But, I hope that we curb stomp the cousins and it is boring by the 8 min mark of the 1st quarter because we are up 28-0.
I don't see how that would be boring at all.
1999 cuse game was anything but boring.
I don't remember the 2nd half of that game, but to be fair, I wasn't sober at all ðĪŠ
I still like our chances in the Coastal this year, Miami is really struggling.
And Pitt lost to Western Michigan.
So umm who is actually a good team this year, not even great just good?
Nobody ? Clemson is only up 7-0 to GT and it's almost half time ...
Yeah everyone but Bama looks not great. UGA might be the 2nd best team and they don't have an offense. Oregon looked good so far.
There's a Twisted Tea commercial that was shot outside Lane Stadium
At least we aren't FSU
Oof.
May have to visit one of their comment boards, just for the Schadenfreude.
TreVeyon Henderson with 236 yards and counting today against Tulsa.
I haven't watched the game but OSU is only up by 7 in the 4Q.
Up to close to 250 now...
270 moves him into 4th all-time for single game rushing at OSU
Eddie George has the record at 314 but it doesn't look like Henderson will have time to beat it today
edit: Eddie George isn't #1 any more, I just realized the records PDF that I googled was dated 2017 and the record was broken last year.
Clawson and Wake absolutely dismantle FSU. Hell of a coach. Would be interesting to see what he could do with better talent.
I always said he would be a great fit for VT. We won't ever recruit with the Bama's and OSU's and Clemson's of the CFB world, but he could likely give us an uptick in recruiting and get those players to buy into what he's doing.
I agree. Even if we can't consistently recruit the top players, at least we would have legitimately good coaches. I thought that was what we were getting with Fu but we are failing miserably in that department. I would be onboard with Clawson, plus he's never really had the resources to recruit so remains to be seen what he could do there. Heck of a coach.
Plus he's a hella likable dude.
There's never any question about what you are going to face when you line up against WFU. A physical (albeit less talented), very disciplined team that really is a whole lotta fun to watch. I do think we'd see an uptick in recruiting, especially in the Commonwealth. But more than that we'd actually know what VT brand football is again.
Clemson sucks again or is GT conjuring some solid voodoo here?
The ACC appears to be a complete dumpster fire.
UNC taking it to UVA. Carolina clearly looks like the best team in the division. We got them early and caught them unprepared.
Usually when UNC and UVA hit the field, the best outcome is a meteor striking the field. However, UVA fans were way too confident following their opening victories so I hope this thrashing continues.
UVA's defense looking really soft tonight
Somehow we will ignore their obvious poor secondary and attempt to run inside all game against them. Their secondary is badddddd
And now UNC's defense has gone soft.
Armstrong is really lighting it up this season. So far in the first half tonight he is 16/20 for 301yds 2 TDs.
Armstrong throws another dime TD right over Grimes with 6 seconds left in that second half
I thought scoring right before half was illegal...??? /s
Please god don't let UVa win...
The hoos have also been picking on Tony Grimes.
Either Brennan Armstrong is on the hottest of hot streaks or he took a serious leap
The UNC thrashing has restarted for the second half.
UNC with 300+ rushing yards...
LOLUVA with 8
Is Devyn Ford getting any burn at Penn State? Not sure if I've heard his name once tonight
Edit: just checked, he had a kickoff return. Only has 7 carries on the year for 33 yards, and no carries tonight.
He was out there for a 2 RB formation early on and got a mention from the commentary but that was it
I don't see any stats accumulated for him yesterday but to be fair Noah Cain is one of the best running backs in the country and I think Keyvone Lee is their next big thing.
I would expect Ford to transfer sooner than later. Penn State's running back room is deeeep and they have two more four star RBs incoming
UNC is so jaded at times. Brilliant then its like the forget theyre playing a game. Glad to see UVA getting a nice whipping now and to see that this offense is still kind of what we thought. No real run game but Armstrong looks not too shabby even if he stares his guys down a bit much.
PENN STATE PUNTED ON THIRD DOWN BAHAHAHA
We should incorporate that into our offense, really catch teams by surprise!
Just saw the score, at least we're not UCLA. Losing to Fresno.
I think Fresno is supposed to be pretty good, and UCLA was ranked a bit high
Edit: new rankings Fresno is 22 and UCLA dropped to 24
