After getting run over by a Brad Corny offense, UVA has had enough. Generally, I think this is something that we will continue to see and is an excellent tool (NIL) to use to attract transfers. Will be interesting to see how this all shapes out in the future. Would also be interested to see if Blacksburg businesses could provide something similar.
I take pride in defending people every day in our justice system & want a team large enough to do it for all of VA. We're committing $15K to sponsor Defensive players coming to @UVAFootball in the transfer portal & will share w/ transfers willing to partner. #HardingCounsel— Elliott (Virginia: Sea to Shining Sea) Harding (@Harding4VA) December 2, 2021

I get the gist of NIL but stuff like this sure seems like pay to play... something that would previously raise serious flags at NCAA.
Especially since it is literally we will pay to you come play for UVA.
Yeah the lines have certainly blurred on NIL but I feel like this approach might come under review
No matter how much money they try to throw at players, those stringent academic requirements will keep the best players from coming

Don't get me wrong, I like that college athletes now have the ability to be compensated for the revenue they generate. With that said, NIL is absolute bs. It is 100% pay to play and generally has little to do with a player's marketability. Take the widely publicized $1 million deal that Bryce Young signed. Did a single person in this entire county outside of Bama football fans and recruiting junkees know who he was? Absolutely not. Will Nike generate $1 million in profit while Young is at Bama to offset the expense of signing him to this deal? I highly doubt it. This was purely a calculated risk by Nike to lock him in now so he signs with them when he goes pro. I'm afraid that most of NIL will devolve into this: a bribe for either present of future services.
Nike taking a risk on a top prospect is what they've done for years. This is probably higher risk than done, but still in line with what they do. So hard to fault them. But a law office saying they will pay a player to come to UVA should be over the line (and not just because it's uva)
I've seen that guy on Twitter, if someone wants to partner with him more power too them.
My response:
Perfect execution. Well done 10/10 tweet
Excellent. That is twitter done correctly.
His Gif choice is something else...
Holy cow, I checked his profile. He literally tweets everyone in the portal Rick James
Damn. Beetlejuice plays college ball?
That guy is a major, major tool.
He's a Hoo. Isn't that a given?
He's somehow toolier.
-or-
His tooliness is higher than average.
Not related to UVA, but did ya'll see that Texas donors are putting together $10M for a NIL fund? The schools with money are just going to create a massive gap between them and everyone else.
Well, that was certainly unpredictable.
Create?
All it takes is one major donor to write checks to every single player they want to come to the school.
Also it surprises me not one iota that LOLUVA's first big fish is a law firm.
And a sleazy criminal defense law firm at that.
(I can throw shade because that's literally what I do)
Do any PI ambulance chasing as well? Lol gotta make it extra sleazy.
PI and Criminal Defense is literally all I do lol
Thus the username?

I gotta figure out how to catch ambulances.
Maybe then I can afford to start the smlltwnsthrnlwyr pay to play bribery slush fund.
Gotta go. Hear a siren.
Do any PI ambulance chasing as well? Lol gotta make it extra sleazy.
Pass interference ambulance chasing? Sleazy, you say?
Narduzzi on line one for Mr. Smalltown Laywer.
Gonna need that for a coach
The guy is apparently a marketing moron to go along with being a tool. If you're looking to get business across the state, why would you single out UVA of all places?
Maybe he figures that the UVa business is enough.
Defense attorneys, amiright?
I'm thinking lolUva is looking for any kind of defense.
Suiting up the attorneys may be their best bet.
It's going to be hilarious if nobody takes him up on it.
It'll be hilarious if someone does and the NCAA puts the screws to loluva football.
Even funnier if they try to deduct from their taxes and get nailed for tax fraud.
Hey, I found a clip of one of these guys at work...
