VT & Nike

Random question, does anybody have any idea when we began to wear Nike uniforms? I have a (hokie hating) friend that says we were one of the last teams to get Nike unis. I know we wore them when Vick played. Just wondering, some info on this would be great.

I believe we started wearing Nike in 1998, which is when we first wore the "Michael Vick era" jerseys (1998-2003)
