I can't watch this team anymore. It's such a buzzkill to the whole day. I may check scores occasionally, but I think I'm truly done with my supporting of the team. Its hard to invest as much time and energy into something that only hurts you

As a former band kid that never learned the nuances of the game (just when to play the fight song), I'd love to hear some analysis from everyone here.
Did the Hokies deliver less than what we had hoped for, or did ODU exceed expectations? Both?
I also expected Pry to be a bit more... emotive? Bud always was, and Frank could be. Maybe I am too accustomed to watching SEC games these days, but I was expecting some headset tossing ,(or something) after some of the many penalty calls. Never liked Fuente's lack of sideline energy, which I thought would be back along with the Pail.

I don't think if people are truly honest with themselves that anyone is necessarily surprised we lost, but disappointed. There was a lot of hope that maybe VT could start a new HC off with a W. Unfortunately, bad luck and unfamiliarity between the coaches & players bit us. I'd recommend checking out articles on TKP that will come out this week to get more details/nuance but the short answer is both.

Remember, Pry is HC for the first time which has its own pressures beyond what he's used to as a DC. I'm glad he appears to have remained in control. Look at Fuck Narduzzi for how ridiculous a coach looks throwing his headset and pitching fits on the sidelines. No thanks.
Pry is going to figure out his HC style. Also, we were on ESPNU at a low-grade stadium which doesn't have provide lots of potential for extra cameras to catch those sideline reactions and such. Expect him to be more Beamer than Bud for certain.

LETS GOOOOOOO!!!!
HOKIES!
Ok...the staff made a thread.....nothing to see here, except LETS FUCKING GO!
LETS GO!!!!!
HOKIES!!!!
(--> to the official game thread!!!)
LET'S GO HOKIES!!!
Where can one watch the game if they don't have ESPNU?
The penalties are bothering me a lot. Like more than the INTs
Nothing like a game delay to open the second half because some of Pry's staff were trapped in an elevator???
I feel like tech should have left the coaches in the elevator. They would have had a better chance of winning
At best we're the 4th best team in the state
Don't have the heart to go through the full game thread... right now, but damn that sucked.
Unforced errors from the QB and long snapper. Defense played great until it mattered.
Defense gave up 10 points, you can't be made at that, I mean it's classic VT.
Yeah not mad at them at all. Unfortunately they needed to be perfect for us to win and they played a 98 game and not 100

I'm going to curl up on the couch with a bottle of Ardbeg 10 and listen to The National until sunrise...
