Link: College Football Game Viewing Guide
Week 4 started off with a bit of a dud on Thursday. The lone FBS matchup was a promising sounding Sun Belt dustup, but Georgia State is a lot better than Coastal Carolina and the outcome was clear by halftime.
Tonight in the Friday matchups we get a few decent sounding conference faceoffs to pick from: Wiscy @ Purdue, NCST @ UVa, AFA @ SJSU, Boise @ SDSU.
Tomorrow promises to be the first great week of college football this season. Somehow FSU is only a 2 point favorite over a Duke-feated Clemson. In the early over-rated SEC slot, Auburn visits Texas A&M. And there's our game, if you're into that.
The 3 o'clock looks fantastic. Deion and his hype train try to crash through Eugene. Ole Miss might just embarrass a (still) ranked Saban squad, or perhaps the expected happens and Bama wins in a landslide. Utah gets to take on their second perennially overranked team already this season in UCLA. A ranked Miami, fresh off a big win is a 24 point favorite over Temple, so we know for a fact that game will go exactly like the oddsmakers predict.
At 6:30 our newly appointed archrival WAKE takes on our dearly departed Techbros. So if you like gold, black and symbolism, that's totally a game that's been scheduled.
Starting at 7 the little sisters of the PAC 2 duke it out in both a shockingly fascinating and ranked matchup in Pullman. (#14 Oregon State @ #12 Wazzu). I'm probably going to at least keep that one on the multiview.
#9 Notre Dame hosting #6 Ohio State has gameday. Two teams I LOVE to root against but for reasons, am not allowed. Ugh. Probably going to be a good game and I'm probably going to be watching it. A ranked matchup in Iowa @ Happy Valley, a few moderately interesting games (UNC @ Pitt). Arizona plays Stanford in other ACC news.
If you're up late the PAC 2 squared off at 7, so they won't be present at all after dark this week. Going to have to start getting used to that sometime.

lolUVA was stringing some plays together and you don't see a successful fake reverse very often, but the Wahoos I know and love returned and got a sack on 3rd and 20 after 2 ill-timed penalties. If Tech can't be good at least lolUVA is still lolUVA.
What would the spread be if UVa played Mater Dei?
Also, I can't believe we lost to purdue.
Yeah, they are f*** awful.
UVA just went for it on 4th and 1 and failed.
Sadly, I can. Bullish on the team long-term, but not now.
It made sense as I watched it live, but watching Purdue each week since and been sobering.
We may only have one winnable game left on the schedule... And I'm not feeling terribly confident about that one...
Friend of mine who I went to the Rutgers game with looked over at me and asked what are the odds that when we play Virginia we will have a combined 1-21 record? My guess was, unlikely. Think we'll both get 1 or 2 wins between now then. I mean upsets happen all the time. But man, 0-11 vs. 1-10 is definitely possible.
Just when I thought Colandrea couldn't get any douchier...he has frosted (ish?) tips
According to that graphic, he's also terrible in the 4th quarter.
3/14, 0 TD and 5 Int.
Lol, and even UVA has football stadium LED lights before we do.
Lights light the same...? Or something like that
They're replacing their scoreboard next year with a (supposedly) huge one.
Not like their fans will be watching as they sip Zima and eat cheese. They could put it at field level to improve their fans viewing experience by blocking the game.
Colandrea is just so hard to like lol. Just so douchey. And that was even a great play to tie the game up, and then he takes his helmet off and makes the douchiest face.
Kippy Strug FTW!
Edit: Holy crap they're going to lose this.
Ok someone get a gif of that douchey muscle man pose Colandrea made that ended up costing them the game lol. Have a feeling that will come in handy.
It's potty time! Diaper is no match for me.

You know you just shat the game away, right?
Got some serious ILS going on there
I love Colandrea. He looks like he's 15, he's an absolute chaos machine which makes him incredibly entertaining to watch. He'll always keep his team in the game but also find the most ridiculous way to lose. Whether you're cheering for or against UVA, it's a fantastic roller coaster.
That is until Thanksgiving weekend where he gives us all high blood pressure.
he looks like an AI composite of everyone with a punchable face that ever went to UVA
Exactly, which makes him even better. You gotta appreciate a peak hateable player.
LOLUVA in the 4th Quarter:
L O L U V A
O
L
U
V
A
This right here cost them the game, lmao
I wonder what his brother is up to these days?

So right now Brendan Armstrong is leading the ACC in number of runs.
Does that include sacks?
Includes 4 sacks, still top if removed
..
They really put the LOL back into UVA.
Just kidding, it never left. They simply reminded us why it's there.
Why is the Stanford Steve guy on Gameday randomly wearing a Marshall shirt?

I think he likes wearing CFB team shirts.
UCLA

Minnesota
Houston
Doesn't he do Bad Beats with SVP? Maybe he is predicting....
Big Notre Dame home game means Chicago is full of charter buses and carpools heading to South Bend
Oregon is just mean I love it lol
Oregon fans already breaking out the overrated chants with 3 mins to go in the 2nd quarter.
Things I didn't think I would say today... "at least we played better than Colorado."
Our result will be better but if we had been on that field with Oregon we might be down 49 instead of 35.
You hush and let me have my little win.
Go Cougs, go beavs.
This one and App Wyoming are tough to watch because I love all the teams involved. Really rooting for these two when they play other conference games
Why can't the ACC absorb WSU and OSU too? I want some beavs and Cougs to hangout with while we all bitch about pine trees and oil money.
I can't say with certainty, but I suspect is has something to do with money & revenue sharing. I'm not entirely sure either of those teams moves the needle enough... I could be missing something though.
My neighbor who's a huge WSU fan said they're referring to their conference as 2PAC ("Tupac") and I'm all about it.
Jalen Hampton with 160 yards on 24 carries and 4 touchdowns through three quarters for Elon vs Campbell.
So I'm at a wedding this evening, and I just watched the equivalent of in the office where Robert California and his band took over Andy's band. These two dudes just got on the stage and took the bands guitars and started shredding, the other band guys just started awkwardly standing around and tuning their guitars. Lmao
Yikes... My son made the decision to get married during college football season (last weekend), however he made the sneaky move of doing it on a Friday evening (saved quite a bit of money).
Watching ND and OSU sent me down rabbit hole when I saw Devyn Ford playing for ND. So both Ford and Ricky Slade did nothing playing for Penn State and Ford is having almost no impact at ND. What is the hit ratio for Penn State signed players out of Virginia?
So far looking the same as Penn State coaches to VT /s
Literally came to this thread to say how surprised I was that Ford was at ND. It really sucks seeing him and Henderson facing off in this game.
Very strange.
First, I thought he had given up on FB while at PSU. Second, after not breaking in at PSU, you choose to go to ND who already had several established RB ahead of you?
Yeah the last I had seen he was stepping away from the team but I could've sworn I saw something about him returning to football. Maybe I did and just didn't see the transferring to ND part. Definitely an interesting choice.
It appears Ricky Slade gave up on football after leaving ODU.
Damn. Thought Marvin Harrison was going to end up like Ali.
Remember when we were "bad" during the late Beamer years and we could beat OSU and compete on a regular basis with other P5 schools even though we weren't necessarily winning with as much regularity?
Yeah, I barely remember either....
UW's offense is amazing. So much fun to watch
