Round these parts, we used to be treated to hokie themed valentines every year. You can look at some of the old ones below. I think we should crowd source this year's. Some ground rules:
- Try to be funny. Seriously. We all have to deal with our men's basketball team, we don't need depressing memes on top of it.
- Bonus Points for inside jokes.
- Puns. All the puns.
- Keep it safe for work. I don't care how much you like Victoria Gorlova's most recent instagram post, I don't want my boss walking past my computer and referring me to HR.
- Observe other Community Guidelines (avoid politics, religion, yada yada yada)

Ok, fine. One Gorlova meme:

Those dudes in the background look happy. I now know why. They love field events apparently.
Always one of the best features of TKP! Thanks for getting this kickstarted!
Based on what I was told not to post, I did some quick internet research. Jesus. Happy Valentines Day everyone.
Yeah no kidding, I first learned of the existence of this VT athlete the other day in the track and field thread.
Ha, same here. I usually follow Tech athletes on social media, but I might get in trouble with the wife if I follow Victoria. Better to give this one a pass.
This got me thinking about NIL. Some stats (number of instagram followers in thousands):
Besides Davi, football way behind star women athletes in social media reach. International stars and stars with famous parents have greater reach.
And yes, this comment is super tangential, but my brain doesn't work linearly.
Because who uses instagram?
Teenage girls and creepy older dudes
Ding ding ding!
So.... Are you telling me that I'm supposed to be on Instagram?

Can't really disagree with that. I would expand your scope from "teenage girls" crowd to the "Reality TV/Bravo" crowd and the "creepy older dudes" crowd to the "thirsty men crowd." Cause, there are a lot of women that follow that reality TV/fashion stuff and a lot of younger men that are just as thirsty. But, definitely a lot of truth in what you said.
There is also the crowd that left facebook but still want to post pictures of family and vacations too...
I used to be of the opinion that volleyball players would be the best way to breed the next generation of hokie football stars. Now I'm open to considering long jumpers. Take that explosive athleticism and mate it with a football players build and sit back and watch the dork magic get fully dipped.
"Bayshul, I'd like you to meet Victoria. I hope you two kids hit it off and remember how much you love tech in 18 years when your kid is looking at colleges..."
.
Accidently clicked reply here when I meant to a reply to VTCCA99...
As long as she keeps posting in VT gear I call her a recruiting asset. Good chance she bumps up the attention to all sports.
those baseball ones are brilliant
I appreciate you hokie07ME
and it's more than a token
but on this valentine's day
your image links are broken
Valentine's day memes
Fun for all Hokie Nation
Lest they do not load
Sad. They work for me. Imgflip must hate you. Unfortunately work computer blocks all image sharing sites so I've had to do them all from my phone...

Yeah I can only see three of them.
Well shit. I'll have to fix/recreate when I can get on my lappy at home.
How about now?
All good, they all show up now.
So i thought it was my work network but on mobile network it still doesn't load!
My wife does not seem to appreciate that I will be spending Valentine's Day evening trying to secure the #1 seed in the playoffs of my 30 and up basketball league. Big game tonight!
Update: we lost, and one of our best PGs tore his achilles....so...coulda been better
Good luck!
And tell your wife Valentine's Day is a capitalist scam and that you love her every other day of the year as well.
Seize the means of seduction!
Lyrics need altering slightly to fit tune:
"When the last three go down,
winning ACC crown,
that's Amore!"
EDIT:
That's Amoore, Eh?
Don't you mean Ekh?
Thats Amoore.
SHUT IT DOWN! WE HAVE A WINNER.
Y'all know that "crowdsource" usually implies more than one person, right?
