So, I don't have ESPNU and I know that ESPN3 usually doesn't show the games that are on the channel because they're "exclusive"... So is there anywhere I could watch it short of an illegal stream?
If I can't watch it online on ESPN3, then I'll just have to sit and stare at ESPN's GameCast (possibly the most boring method of tracking a football game ever created) and listen to Bill and Mike's broadcast... Don't get me wrong, they're great, I would just rather SEE the game.

vtphreak usually put's up a stream. other options are taking advantage of comcast's 4.95 upgrade to get espnU or going to a bar.
or just come over to my house in FL where I will be watching!
Where does he put up the stream?
phreak normally posts a link on the techsideline forums a couple hours before the game
His twitter

Gracias.
Where at in FL?
I'm studying at UCF in Orlando haha.
Sorry. Didn't mean to sound like a creeper or anything, was jusy wondering if this was a viable option.
haha sorry, didn't mean to leave you hanging. I live down in south FL, in Boynton Beach.
Aw, that sucks. If it was like Palm Coast or something I might have considered it.
Depending on your cable provider...
You may be able to use WATCHESPN app. I know that here, I can watch ESPN, ESPN2 or ESPNU live online using it. the issue is that most cable companies seem to be one or the other.
The problem is that I'm at a university and hooked up to their cable provider through an ethernet jack, where they track what I do online.
Therefore, I can't type in my cable provider information or billing information for the Watch ESPN thing because the University owns it. Believe me, I've tried.... It sucks a big one.
The game is going to be on ESPN3
http://espn.go.com/watchespn/index#type/upcoming/sport/football/startDat...
And I don't think it will be blacked out. The UVA/GT game, however, does look like it will blacked out.
just saw the blackout map. per espn:
most of FL is blacked out:

Yeah I looked it up online yesterday. Sad times for me.
Dangit!!
Same boat. I'm just moved to Jacksonville FL and didn't pay Comcast the extra $15/month to get 80 more channels when all I want is ESPNU. Was also hoping for ESPN3.
Try to find the local VT alumni game hangout. I went to a pub here with about 30+ Hokies to watch the VT-gt game. At 33 I was on the younger side though and I'd say 7 of us stayed for the whole game...pretty embarrassing actually but hoping its because it was a Monday night
Yeah, maybe this place on campus will have ESPNU and put it on for me. They're always empty anyway so if they don't they're just acting like assholes.
That Map is for VT vs BGU
on Sept 22. I haven't seen the blackout map for the Pitt game and there isn't a link for it on the watchespn schedule. Is there a better place to get the map?
There is a map on that site. I just saw it yesterday. Let me go look again.
Here's the link.

Thanks
Maybe WatchEspn reads the IP address location and only puts the map up on the blacked-out areas. I still don't have that link when I pull up the website.
FWIW, I have seen some forums on the interwebs about getting around the blackout, using hotspotshield or a mock ATT (or other provider account). Don't know if it is worth a try:

hmm.
Something I may look into. Thanks.
yeah my bad, definitely clicked on the wrong one. essentially the same blackout area though.
