Would have been fun to do, but a little too late: Switching the live broadcast of the Hoos losing on Friday night, to one where they won, making them all believe for at least one more day, then revealing that they actually lost to Michigan State. Elaborate, but I think some Spartans might have helped us do it.

My 5 year old daughter will be showered with balloons whens he opens her door tomorrow morning. Then I will hit her with silly string when she comes down the stairs. Her lunch may be infested with gummy worms...this is the first year I can really prank her on April 1.

We had a fire alarm and evacuation the night before April 1st, so I sent out a phone mail to my residents telling them that whoever pulled the fire alarm was sprayed with a purple stain and that two RAs were checking residents' hands. Gave them the RA's room numbers and told them to come early because these guys have classes too! Anyone's hands not checked the next day would be a suspect.
Then I stayed away from Pritchard the whole day because I knew my RA buddies and residents alike would be trying to get me back.

yeah man, we were running upwards of 40 in East AJ. I just kept my shooting ear protectors by the bed and rolled back over and went to sleep. It helped that I was on the ground floor and 2 doors from the exit, so I wasn't going to die, probably. Also, lofts are great for hiding from RAs doing room checks for fire alarms

I am beginning to hate this day more and more. Was seeing tweets about Jay Wright leaving Villanova to take the BC job but they all referenced back to an SBNation article that even has April Fools in the web link.
when I worked in Blacksburg, a guy would go around on April 1 and tell everyone the boss wanted to talk to them and, "he didn't seem happy." so people would get stressed and the boss would have a stream of people tracking him down thinking they were in trouble. time was wasted, people were annoyed, but no harm no foul. a harmless but effective joke.

Downtown Blacksburg
Town of Blacksburg proposes exciting new pedestrian friendly ordinance for Downtown Blacksburg.
Here in the DBI office we are really excited about this fantastic new proposed ordinance released today by the town.
Ordinance # 0401 Section 14 states that the downtown area from Alumni Mall on the North end to Washington Street on the south end is to become completely pedestrianized- a walking mall. Existing traffic detour routes already used for the annual Steppin' Out Festival would become the permanent new route for traffic to pass through the downtown area safely.
Details are still to be discussed at tonights Town Council Work Session before the propsed plan goes back to the Planning Commission. Downtown merchants and restaurants are excited about the potential of a year round "Steppin' Out" feeling to the entire downtown area! The proposal will look at other successful vehicle free downtown areas, for inspiration.
I'll admit, they had me until I noted the Ordinance #

I have 2 daughters aged 8 and 5.
Last night the wife and I filled their bathroom with balloons so they'd get a surprise for April Fool's day.
The 5 year old had never been pranked so, it was her first. They were both very excited and thought it a great prank. My 5 year old found it first but only told her older sister to go check out the bathroom, didn't say what was up.
The 8 year old open the door swiftly and the air movement pretty much tossed balloons out at her and she got a shock.
All in all, it worked very well.

I don't know but I'll sure make more April Fools' jokes than UVA had fans at their spring game

'twas blind, but now I see!

Thnx Joe
cavman as a kid...
By now, cavman will have long been without testicles.
if she ever had them! ~8)
Haha I remember that. Totally timed it just right. Ahh, my younger days...
CavWoman!?
That is actually my cousin back when she was a teenager. Never could get her to let someone ride her.
Giggity.

know these guys?

Some clips from Robin Hood: Men in Tights that seem appropriate. The first one features a young Dave Chappelle:
Pretty bad quality on the second one, but the only place I could find it.

Pranked my residents in Prichard one year.

Damn I can't count the number of fire alarms we had in Pritchard. I think the year I went someone just wanted to pull the alarm.
My freshman year we had 9 fire alarms in the WAJ in one day. It was a bit annoying.
That sounds like a bit more than annoying.
We had so many fire alarms in Rasche Hall back in 93 that I finally stopped going outside. I said I would rather burn to death.

My April Fools joke to a Wahoo:
Me: "Hey Joe, I really think the UVA football team will win more than 2 games this year!"
Joe: "Really?"
Me: "April Fools!"
I wish for Joe to change 'turkey legs' to 'hokiecoins' for one day only. Much harmless. Very chaos. April.
Or everyone's avatar gets changed to a randomly selected meme.
Wow.
Put a rubber band around the sprayer hose attachment on the kitchen sink tonight and point it in the right direction. Wait for the yell around 7 am.
google has me becoming a pokemon master so i can work for them!
Because I've had that kind of time today.
I always thought it would a great idea to actually elope on March 31st/April 1st, since everyone would think it was an April Fools joke.

The sad part is I can imagine the Town of Blacksburg being stupid enough to do that anyway.

Good one for young kids. +1
This reminds me of the time I pranked my kids.
See, they totally thought I had gone bald. Kids will fall for anything. Suckers..
