I am working on reviews for the rest of James Franklin's recruiting class, but saving scheme stuff until spring when the staff is in place and we better understand what portal additions will impact things. Unfortunately I have been slowed down with a bout of COVID after a cross country business trip to Los Angeles. I will be back on the clock this weekend.

I recall that you criticized Marve's scheme for not having enough variety in blitz packages. Do you think that is an issue with Pry, or do you think that was a Marve only problem?
It is, but hopefully better players can make that less of an issue. But yes, they got very predictable. Drop the boundary edge to the flat, bring the whip/star/nickel. Slant DL to the boundary. Cover three behind it. Offense throws a quick slant in the soft spot with the middle deep safety 20 yards deep. They would do well by figuring out how to take away the quick throw and bring more A gap pressure.
So we just need to bring in the next Vince Wilfork or Vita Vea.
I am looking forward to a more "exotic" scheme. We have been playing such a vanilla brand of football on that side for a while now.

I've spent hours in a small boat with him, and even in person, you have to think three times to get one point, and then he's 12 points further on. Wouldn't trade it for the world. Get well J.
French seems like one of those guys that I'd like to pay to sit next to just once while they watch/analyze film, and just listen to them verbalize what's going on in their heads. That would be an amazing learning experience.

French is fun to hang out with, impossible to keep up with when it comes to Hokie stats, or baseball stats or...
He's also a consummate gentleman, polite and naturally friendly, and just as important, a really good fisherman! TKP Fishing Threads helped me meet some fine fellows, indeed, and it's been fun fishing and corresponding with all of them, but hopefully I'll get to fish with all again even when I leave the Bay.
I can tell you from experience, watching a game with French (or spending time with him in general) is an experience. There will be laughter, yelling, spontaneous singing, references to every athlete of the 1980s, more spontaneous singing, creative cursing, and gagging if you mention cheese.
