I don't think this affects it at all. Grunk is coming in to start and maybe go to the NFL after a year or two, Baker is coming in to be the backup and heir apparent after Grunk is done.

There was no reason why this kid shouldn't have gotten run this year at UNC. He has had terribly horrendous QB coaching for one year. That will take time to undo.
