Probably the most popular professor at VT for a few decades, John Boyer, who taught World Regions and Geography of Wine, recently started doing streams and going "live" on Instagram and Facebook. His account is John Boyer under Facebook and @plaidavenger on the Gram. Apparently he also does the stream on Youtube.
I know politics is very against CGs but figured some of you had his class and might want to listen to his take on current events and world news. It's like listening to him in class again. I am not sure of his schedule, but right now, he is live and he has mentioned doing a podcast.
I'll never forget him making fun of me in front of all of Geography of Wine when I brought in a giant beer mug and asked him to fill it up for my birthday.
EDIT: He just announced it will be every Sunday at 8 pm EST.

Excellent. TY.
De Nada.
OMG, he's had stuff on youtube forever.
He's the Plaid Avenger.
Pretty sure he used that channel to leverage getting wildly prominent world leaders to talk to the class. I remember specifically making one for Aung San Suu Kyi and her eventual zoom call with her and the full Burress Auditorium
I was in that class! If I remember right, Boyer also had the King of Jordan lined up for an in person talk but snow cancelled his trip from DC.
Is he still with the university? I thought I remember reading he retired
He retired but still posts for fun
