A disappointing 2-2 week where the Hokies issued an astounding number of walks turned runs. Friday alone represented over 10% of their season walks total at the end of that 7-6 loss (10 of 99) during which five of Duke's 7 runs came by walk. The Ladies drop to #14 in D1 rankings and Softball America.

Walks and wild pitches are not good. Pitch in a way that makes them hit the ball. The HOKIES are 22nd in D1 softball fielding percentage at .977. Let the fielders do their job.
