Ummm, remember how that turned out for that guy?

Reel men fish on Wednesdays

Nope, never saw the movie.

I don't even remember who the recruit was the PSU big digger us for in the fist place.

Pretty sure it was devyn ford

I believe the actual originator of the quote was Devyn Ford's H-S coach on his commitment day.

He said something along the lines of Devyn really liking VT but then the "Big Dogs showing up"

From memory, some Crystal balls had already started shifting away from VT but there was still lots of hope that Ford would be a Hokie.

The coaches quote was a little bit of extra insult on top of what was already a swift kick to the groin.

How did that work out for him?

Never really contributed at PSU and seemingly got passed on Depth Chart quickly...transferred to ND where he also just got a few token carries.

What's more interesting is Ford was one of a series of BlueChip RB from VA in a row that never made major contributions at the Collegiate level.

Slade, Ford, Tyree, and the FSU Lamborghini kid Laborn -all had very disappointing careers compared to hype and expectations.

Maybe goes along with French's assessment that VHSL football isn't what it used to be.
