Let's Go...

Go Hokies!!

Hokies!!!

Pain is Temporary, Chicks Dig Scars
Glory is Forever, Let's Go Hokies!!

How in the hell are they not at least in the top 10 if not top 5 with a 31-4 record?

Plan for the worst and hope for the best, not the other way around.

Because the SEC schools we beat have better quality losses.

yep that Duke series may come back to haunt us

Vroom Vroom

Hell. We might not get to host anyway if we are one of the selected

Only one I have issue with is Georgia. Nebraska 4 of 5 losses are to Top 10 teams.

UGA has more losses obviously. But 3 2 of those were to Virginia Tech, who is a top 15 team. Doesn't weigh the same.

We only played Uga twice

Only two were to the Hokies.

Other losses to Belmont, Oklahoma State, Clemson, Arkansas 2X, and Mississippi St.

Still not good enough because they lack quality wins. 3-6 vs Top 25 teams. Clemson is #26 currently.

I stand corrected and fixed the error. I still fail to see how anyone can rank a team ahead of you that has double the losses you do along with an 0-2 record against you. Baffling.

UVA has a bigger reason to be pissed seeing all those teams above them with 5-8 losses

Pleasant surprises for 2026...
- Gaby Mizelle, Freshman: has started every game as a true freshman. .337 avg, 5HR, 9-10 stolen base
- Emma Mazzarone, Junior: 8-1 with a 2.19 ERA. Her velocity is one of the tops in the country with her fastball consistently at or above 70 mph. This year she has developed a very nice change-up to keep hitters guessing.
- Nora Abromavage, Sophomore: This appears to be a breakout year for Nora. She has started all 35 games thus far and has a .388 avg with 11 HR and 43 RBI.
- Avery Layton, Freshman: 6-1 with 3.38 ERA. Will only get better with experience.
- Bree Carrico, Sophomore: 9-0 with a 1.33 ERA. After not playing last year because of injury, Bree has become the biggest surprise of the year. I don't have the words! Somebody else will have to wax more eloquently than me.
- Zoe Yaegar, Junior: Zoe has improved her batting average and power. Thus far she is at .376 avg. with 8 HR and 40 RBI.
- Jordan Lynch, Sophomore: No sophomore slump here. Jordan leads the team with a .479 batting average with 13 2B, 4 3B, and 11 HR.
- Addison Foster, Junior transfer from Stetson: Lock down center fielder. Addison has started all 35 games and has a .423 avg, with 5 HR, has scored 31 runs and is 7-7 on stolen bases.
- Rachel Castine, Senior: Rachel is playing some of her best softball since her injury shorten 2024 season. .415 avg. with 9 HR
It's hard not to mention Michelle Chatfield, Kylie Aldridge, Annika Rohs, and Sophie Kleiman who have all been rock solid steady all year.

I seldom speak to loluva grads, but when I do, I tell them I want large fries.

Gaby is living up to being the number six recruit in the country. She has the rare mix of being strong and fast

Dang, those are slow pitch numbers.

I wonder how many opposing players get ACC honors after a series with BC?

Thought Mazzarone throwing 120+ pitches was high.

Last night Houston and Baylor played. Baylor starting pitcher finished with 250 pitches, only to lose 3-2 in the 15th inning. Houston pitcher only went 12 2/3 with 185 pitches. 479 total pitches in the game.

That game disappointed me. I was hoping for a sweep, pumped up for the big guns and we never got going. Hope the ladies can see the ball better tonight. Our bats are our power and they absolutely have to show up regardless of how our pitchers are doing.

Reel men fish on Wednesdays

Last season had the same issue with drop ball specialists especially if they could paint corners. Ladies got a ton of hard contact last night but it was all on the ground. Hitting it hard works against them when its grounders. Gives Infielders more time to throw
