Lets hope he gets his mojo back

Not a Giants fan, but happy to see a Hokie back on his feet.
"He's a special athlete who's got a lot of great skills, and we've got to figure out a way to get the ball in his hands and let him make plays for us," quarterback Eli Manning said.
Time to catch some rabbits .
#CatchinRabbits
Just another reason Coughlin doesn't like him. Such 'flashy' behavior - not like we did it back in the 70's! Wilson would be much better served with another team, but that's the story of many who have gone through the NFL turnstiles and not 'fulfilled their expectations'.
Coughlin may not be "in love" with him, but the fans (& NYC for that matter) are. And if the fans are that means that the ownership is.
No, it doesn't. If we were talking about a very high profile player, then maybe. For him? Fan support won't keep him on the team if Coughlin doesn't want him. He has nowhere near the support for that. Ownership isn't going to contradict Coughlin over him. Manning, yes, not him. Now, I'd love to see him make it big (wherever) in the NFL, but if Coughlin doesn't want him, fan appreciation is not going to keep him, because the fan appreciation for him in NYC & among Giant nation is NOWHERE near that overwhelming for him. I wish that were the case, but it is not.
As a Panthers fan, tell that to Steve Smith.
(a move which I support, but still.)
Hey, I loved him when he played at Tech. Best wishes to his health and I hope his career takes off!
this is incredible news.. I had that sinking feeling last year that his career was done, overjoyed to have been wrong
If the NYGiants don't want him, I'm sure there's a team in the NFC North that does!
Crap, hope he's not in too bad shape
Giants | David Wilson suffers neck burner
http://www.kffl.com/gnews.php?id=917071-giants-david-wilson-suffers-neck...
Apparently that is what took him out last year. If it is anything related, I think unfortunately his career is over.
F-k NO dammit! I swear, this happens almost everytime we send a RB to the NFL. For once...just ONCE I would like a RB that goes and starts in the pros to have a long, healthy and productive career. Rant over.
I'm not one of the down-voters, but, Seriously?
Do you have a capacity for vocabulary that doesn't include swearing so much? I'm no shrinking violet, but if this site had an ignore feature, I'd be sorely tempted to put you on it based on how many of your posts drop the f-bomb, much less the consistent, (and consistently phrased), lesser swear words.
Swearing can be used quite effectively. But, like posting the same gifs and memes over and over again, blue language used often and indiscriminately loses its punch and seems indicative of a dedication to the low-brow, and an inability to state anything in an original, or profound, or as this case demands, an empathetic manner.
To summarize my point, I beg you, please:
Raise your fucking game.
Hey, hey, hey...buddy I got yer game right here

you attack him for swearing but end up using a swear in your own post? Seems counterproductive to me.
You know, I tried for a while to think of a response I could make to you that wouldn't be misconstrued by you as an attack or in any other way have one or two words be taken completely out of context, but I finally decided that any such attempt was likely destined for failure.
Good on you for finding something worth joining the fray over that isn't related to Ryan Malleck, I suppose.
Actually I thought the irony of using the f-word in that post was fine. Actually made it humorous.
I agree with your point. As evidenced by hokieknight's oh so clever retort his/her posts really don't do much for the conversation, unless you want a one-sided argument about marcus vick being a loser. I've seen him/her make a nice, well thought out reply sometimes but the vast majority are things like above.
So overall, while directed at hokieknight, I saw it more as a general comment for new comers to TKP. Sophomoric and immature humor is fine. I make that sort of post every 3rd time I write something on TKP, but try to be clever about it. And if that's really all you're contributing, and your contributions regularly get down votes, then think about not contributing at all.
and for the record I didn't up vote or down vote anyone about this
I fully agreed with everything you said, except for this part right here, to an extent. The way some are throwing downvotes around for nothing more than disagreeing with an opinion, I don't think you should rethink posting if you regularly get downvotes, because these opinions help drive good conversation on here. I'd alter that to say if your posts get regularly blurred out, then maybe its time to rethink hitting that 'Post' button.
ah, excellent point. yep, there is this. good catch
Well...someone is giving themselves a lot of credit.
In all seriousness, I think the downvotes on the original comment had nothing to do with the vulgarity of the post. Instead, the comment is framed in which the poster makes himself the victim here in a "Why does this always happen to us?" kind of way.
Though, probably (hopefully) unintentional, the comment comes off as insensitive to what David is going through. Yes, Virginia Tech has had a string of bad luck with RBs in the NFL, but this really isn't the thread to discuss it.
(Edit: tried to make my sarcasm a bit less understated)
I did say "try" ;)
My comments are NEVER intentional to come off with a lack of empathy. Anybody that knows me personally knows that DW is one of my fave all time players. Hell, my co-workers saw me do a celebration dance when he got drafted in the 1st round over Lamar Miller. It just frustrates me that our superior tailbacks aren't experiencing the success they should at the next level through bogus injuries that are 100% no fault of their own.
see. Now this is a great comment. Actually, I agreed with your original too. I've said the same thing before to people I know. Maybe it's just how you're choosing to make your comments that get me, and others, sometimes. Anyway, have a turkey leg
That and also the fact that I appreciate what MV5 did to the Mountainqueers and Hoos on their own fields back in '05.
Like the attitude, but would appreciate with a little less slur towards a group of people's sexual orientation next time.
Might I suggest 'Couchburners' instead?
I didn't come up with it. Actually picked it up after spending the summer at Marshall (they hate wvu).
Everybody picks up bad habits from time to time, but it doesn't mean they are acceptable.
So your excuse for using a slur is "its ok, I didn't come up with it"?
I'm not one to police political correctness (nor do I condone slurs), but, to clarify, slurs are off limits but 'Trail of Tears' jokes are okay?
I see where you are going with this, but I think there is a pretty clear line between outright slurs with no contextual qualifying, and using that historical term in conjunction with FSU specifically, or really just about anywhere if the joke is done right.
When something is stated in a manner that is so outrageous that it is apparent to the jokee that the joker recognizes the absurdity, then there is humor in the shared sense of the absurd.
It's all in the delivery, as they say.
Let's face it: Everyone thinks they can do edgy humor. And most people do it poorly.
Robin Williams: He sucks at it, but gets a pass because of his body of work and loyal following.
Anthony Jeselnik: Good at it.
Margaret Cho: If there are worse, I don't want to know about it.
Dave Chappelle: May be the best.
If professional comics can't discern between real mirth and just sympathy laughter, (or laughter because the crowd is loosened up and responding with their end of the joke/laugh calculus), and adjust their acts accordingly, it's a stretch to hope the random comment-board poster will.
Yeah, upon reflection, my comment kind of just convoluted the larger point being discussed and wasn't really necessary. I shouldn't have commented it. Carry on.
I'm going to disagree about Jeselnik. Granted, I only saw about a 20 min segment of him years and years ago, but it was absolutely terrible. Maybe he had a bad night, or maybe he's gotten better. Point is, he was sooo bad that I couldn't bring myself to follow his work from that point forward....and I have my doubts that he has gotten THAT much better.
I don't know if he's any different now than years ago, and I thought about adding a disclaimer to him on my list since his brand of humor is pretty dark, which I'm sure many don't find all that funny.
But he fits the description of what makes edgy humor work, where everyone buys into the absurdity -- the audience never thinks he's really as callous about the things his joke revolve around, so if you appreciate the genre of humor he deals in, you might be able to appreciate the many levels his jokes often are funny on.
I guess I'd call his humor "condensed Southpark". If it works, it's hilarious.
I'm not making an excuse, nor will withdraw the post or discontinue using the phrase (unless I get arrested for it). I think the folks at Marshall are spot on. The worst va Mountainqueers (as in completely odd people): why, what did you think I meant?
EDIT: or unless french and joe don't want me to use it.
So let me get this correct:
You claim the fine folks at Marshall coined the term "Mountainqueers", so you aren't to blame for using it here. Already in the public lexicon, you might say.
Furthermore, the good folks at Marshall in no way meant for any sexual innuendo to be derived from it.
And you, who see no sexual innuendo in anything, ever,
Find no innuendo here, and are claiming only the most benign of interpretations should be made when you use the term?
Forgive us if we find that hard to swallow.
Ok I forgive y'all. Marshall may mean whatever they choose it to mean, as may a number of good folks from Hokie Nation. That doesn't mean my interpretation or definition of it.
You can continue using the phrase wherever you'd like, but not here.

Otherwise, figure out another place to hang out.
I don't post much, only when I have a question or something to add to the conversation. If Loeffler, Stiney, and Beamer are so high on Malleck and the rest of the tight ends, why shouldn't we be too? They are going to be a focal point in the offense, so I am very curious to see how Bucky's transition has been and the rehab of Malleck and Cline has been going. Glad you took the time to view my recent comments, though. Didn't realize that you could do that on this site, but that is pretty cool.

Just saw the report on ESPN that in yesterday's practice David suffered a neck "burner" which I assume is the same as a stinger (correct me if I'm wrong). I really, really hope this isn't serious...
Allow me to help you out.
Neck stinger is when your neck hurts and you go "aaahh, that stings".
Neck burner is when your neck hurts and you go "Ooooh, that burns".
Makes sense.
From DW4...
Hopefully he's alright.
That is such a relief. I just hope this is the last time the issue presents itself
Hey man, clearly this thread is about community guidelines and political correctness. This is no place for news on DW4
