2015 Backer Tremaine Edmunds Commits to Virginia Tech

Dan River standout Tremaine Edmunds will join his older brothers Trey and Terrell at Virginia Tech. The youngest Edmunds announced his decision moments ago live on WSLS-NBC TV in Roanoke, Virginia. Bud Foster has his Backer for the 2015 cycle committed.

Tremaine is rated as a 3-star recruit by the 247Sports Composite. However, Rivals.com rates the 6-4, 200 pound prospect as a 4-star recruit and one of the top 250 players in his class.

"It's a great campus, so well supported by the fans," Tremaine told The Key Play's Alex Koma on July 15. "I have a great relationship with the staff, too."

Tremaine had 10 major scholarship offers to choose from including: Wake Forest, Maryland, and USC. The aforementioned three schools along with Virginia Tech were the programs that pursued Edmunds the most.

Cornell Brown, Bryan Stinespring, and Bud Foster all had a hand in landing Tremaine.

So this from Andy Bitter in his blog post about Tremaine:

Rivals also has him as the No. 15 outside linebacker and No. 11 player in the state, while 247 Sports lists him as a three-star recruit, the No. 25 outside linebacker nationally and No. 13 player in Virginia. He could also end up at tight end.

We can't stop it now...
