How will you spend the game Saturday?

For those of you making the trek to Clemson Saturday, safe travels and make us proud. Being that its an 8 hour trip from the DC/Metro area, 5-6 from richmond, and about 4 from Blacksburg it should be a reasonable one to attend.

The rest of us however, unable to go, feel free to share how you'll be watching this key matchup. Noon games are usually snoozers against less competition making for an acceptable day of plopping on the couch and carressing a few cold beers. Seeing as how this one won't be that easy going I feel many Hokies are gathering at either a local bar or with a spread at home.

If you have certain traditions for away games or are doing something new tomorrow let us know.

(Un)fortunately my day will be spent at a wine festival in Norfolk going between tents chalk full of vino and a party boat that IM PRAYING has a TV.

Wincing, I imagine. Funny, I'll be in Norfolk also for Fleet Week instead of here in SC

I'll be in North Carolina

My sister is throwing a 50 year anniversary party for my parents and I'm on grill duty. She said she would put the game on in the house and we could check in on it. She also said her daughter. who is 8, has a volleyball game at 2. She was like "maybe you can go," and I was like "we'll see."

Jacksonville VT alumni

I'll be heading over to an Irish Pub where the Jax VT alumni meet to watch games. Granted there's only been 2 other games they've met this season. I just hope there are some good football fans there since sometimes its lacking.

Is that pub by chance called Shannon's? Because, if so, I live nearby (although I'm at school in Orlando right now).

Yup!

That's the one! I just moved back to Jax about 2 months ago and live about 5 min away, across the bridge off San Jose.

Small world!

My family lives in the gated subdivision off of Racetrack road, behind the DMV.

Nice!

That's crazy. Too bad someone football smart wont be there. Typically some lady will be asking me to buy a raffle ticket for random Hokie stuff for the scholarship fund...meanwhile it's a huge 3rd down play and she has no idea a game is even on. Don't get me going on that stuff... Maybe tomorrow will be better!

Yeah, I'll be watching from my dorm room haha. The bar on UCF campus tends not to show anything but the big games... They wouldn't consider this a big one.

I assume you've met the owner of Shannon's then? The first time we went in there he came over to our table and struck up a conversation with us. At that time I was considering what colleges I wanted to go to (Tech being an option) and we ended up talking about Tech for about 30 minutes haha

I hope I am able to sling it in the Shoe but that is unlikely. When you put 100k people together in that density cell phones don't tend to work.

Streaming

Does anybody know how to stream the game. I just turned off my dish this week and will not be able to watch it otherwise... Not a whole lot of bars where I live in Cali

ESPN3.com or WatchESPN, or VTPhreak usually puts a stream up at this website

http://watchvt.blogspot.com/

I'm not sure why that link is broken, but if you just copy and paste that into your browser, it should work.

Thanks so much for putting this up. For some reason I didn't see it listed under ESPN3, which really makes me believe I need to actually pay attention when I'm trying to look. Thanks again!

No problem

Streaming Hokie football

You can also go to: www.thefirstrow.eu

The quality is low but the game is always available. It's a good option if you cannot get into ESPN on-line, like some of us living overseas experience.

VTCC '86 Delta Co., Peru Hokie, Former Naval Aviator, Former FBISA, Forever married to my VT87 girl. Go VT!

Thank you for putting this up. Gonna try the other options, but I do like to have a fall back plan!

It's on ABC in the DC area, so you might be able to still find it on your TV since ABC is a basic channel.
