eleven warriors

Was on the football forum in the predictions for the game thread and noticed several people commented that most tech fans on their message boards didn't seem to be real upbeat or have a good feeling about this game lol. Just wondering if they weren't on loluva boards because I haven't seen that on any tech boards I've been on.

How do you confuse VT with UVA. One was winless in the ACC , the other one goes bowling every year.

Maybe they're just out of their element

21st century QBs Undefeated vs UVA:
MV7, MV5, LT3, Grant Wells, Braxton Burmeister, Ryan Willis, Josh Jackson, Jerod Evans, Michael Brewer, Tyrod Taylor, Sean Glennon, and Grant Noel. That's right, UVA. You couldn't beat Grant Noel.

We've been upbeat, but we're also realistic. Comes with the territory when we've lost a bunch of big games.

In past years, I really really wanted tech to win and came up with outlandish reasons why we would ("Alabama can't handle our defense and Logan will be even better this year!!"). Not so this year. I seriously feel like we have the tools to take advantage of anOSU's weaknesses when we're on defense and I think that we will get completely shut down on offense.

Prediction: VT 17, anOSU 13. We score off of two pick sixes and we put in a field goal off of a fumble recovery deep in anOSU territory. anOSU gets far too many yards off of us in the first half, but we limit the bleeding to a TD and two FGs. Foster adjusts at halftime and they only see 3-and-outs the rest of the game.

All hype aside, I really feel the game is between to evenly matched teams this year. I think both teams have a 50/50 chance of victory and won't be disappointed with a loss as long as the game is close. That said, I REALLY want the Hokies and Beamer to pull the upset and shock the world.

I noticed that too the other day. I was thinking maybe they were on TSL and not here.

"We were at the pinnacle, and we did it for years," Foster says. He pauses, nods, takes a deep breath. "And I did it with the best guy in the business."

I live and work in cincy. In my plant I am outnumbered 200:1 by OSU fans, but my 3'x5' VT flag has been in my window all year and I have told any buckeye thats asked about the game how VTs Defense matches up very well to thier O and we actually have enough teeth on offense to bite back. No lack of confidence here.

Plan for the worst and hope for the best, not the other way around.

no offense to their fans, but I read some of their posts and they have a different mindset that borders on entitlement (though not as bad as the SEC). We on the other hand have our expectations tempered by letdowns of yesteryear. Both are understandable, but I think ours is mistaken for something else.

I actually think we are going to get this one, although long gone are the years when I was cocky about predicting the win.
