Well round 1 of the WLWTC was the Marshall game last year when it absolutely poured on the Hokie faithful.
Its looking like another game with a chance of rain, and I'm loving it.
Be sure to wear your white proudly and make it another epic white out game!
Hopefully we can open up a can of whoop-ass all over the pirates!
P.S. You pervs can go look up wet t pics if you wish. Otherwise come Saturday for the show.

Heh, heh. I'll have to point that out to my wife.
Wife tells Me this sounds like a fantastic excuse....
Ps. Now you know 1 reason why I don't sit in west stands
Darn football season weddings...
I'll live vicariously through each of you going to the game.
try having one last weekend during the OSU games. Watch ESPN app did wonders. Was able to watch almost the whole game.
Thank goodness for technology!
We are driving up there from SC for a wedding. Luckily though it starts after the game but close enough we will not be going.
When are people going to learn that the months between September and December are not good wedding months? Because even if you can avoid a game on your wedding, you might not be so lucky down the road on an anniversary.
:)
What are you talking about? My wife and I are going to the BC game this year for our Anniversary!
This is an example of a marriage that works!
She did 7 years of schedule examination to determine which weekends we would likely have a Thursday night game or a bye week. 6 out of 7 had it the last weekend of October and/or the first weekend of November. So before the schedule came out that year, we booked our date and sure enough, when the schedule was released, we had a Thursday night game. Now we also had a Thursday night game on our honeymoon but a laptop and Slingbox fixed that.
Can we get your wife on TKP? She deserves a round of applause for her efforts.
I know a guy that tried that...looked at several years worth of schedules. Thought he was safe in picking a date. And it landed on Homecoming of all weekends.
Your wife is the real MVP

Don't I know it. If you think I had any decision making power when it came to planning our wedding, you must not be married.
THIS. Real friends do not have weddings during football season. My girlfriend went to UNC and her friends exclusively have weddings during football season. I went to one and I've refused to go to anymore.
Priorities man!! Good call!
So my friend, who is also a Hokie, who stated at one time that he would never get married during the football season, got married last year during the football season. They had actually scheduled the wedding for the bye week, so no reason to care about missing out on other football. Well, the place they reserved had to change because somebody found out it was double booked and so we actually had the wedding later and during, iirc, the Duke game last year. So...of course I made fun of him.
Well, prior to last year, if there was one game that was safe to miss, it was Duke.
My bro-in-law is getting married in November (in Florida). At first, they thought they would be setting the date for November 8, which would be perfect for the bye week. But then they couldn't get the venue then, so it's November 15 --- the Duke game. Any other year I wouldn't worry, but after last year, it's not one to write off for a while.
But, at least the upside for me is that while it interferes with football, it falls on my regular scheduled weekend off.
Even worse, I have two hokie friends who scheduled their wedding on the day of the ACCCG, in VA....AND WE ALL LIVE IN CHARLOTTE!
May want to reconsider that friendship. There are going to be lots of crablegs at my tailgate that weekend if we make it.
Yeah tell me about it. I blame the groom for not putting his foot down. #Unacceptable
OH MY GOD WHERE DID YOU FIND THESE
Oh wait...Jack's Foodland in Eva, Alabama.
At least we know that the game is in prime time this year, so if they schedule everything early enough, then the afterparty can be the game party.
Football season is one reason among many my fiancee and I scheduled our wedding for January.
Fortunately, I had other reasons I could use for not looking at the last third of the year for wedding dates. My wife's birthday is in September, and mine is in December, so I wanted to spread our celebrations out.
I did say one of many. Another key difference is the price... nobody gets married in January, so we're getting our venue and catering dirt cheap (or at least as close to dirt cheap as a winery can get...)
We got married on St Patrick's Day a few years ago. No way it was going to be anywhere near football season, and she knew that. When I told her that weekend was the opening weekend of the basketball tournament, she asks me if it was ok that our anniversary fell on that time of year. Well, I don't have a problem with it, but her mom and dad graduated from UNC and she's a Tarheel bball fan, so I told her it would be a bigger issue with her than me.
Hence why mine is scheduled for May. Gotta think of things people!
Had a very similar conversation in my appartment yesterday.
I was expecting so much more when I clicked on this thread......
