My freshman year I had a Calculus test from 6-8 and we played Purdue at 7. Finished my test in 30 minutes and booked it across campus from Surge.

Did the same thing for an Accounting Exam from 7-9p when we played Duke for the first time ever, except I did not show up for the Accounting Exam, failed the exam, was forced to drop the class, and retook said Accounting the following fall.

Ha - this is awesome - that could have very well been me. I thought I skipped it the exam all together, but now that I think about it, I think I did indeed "christmas tree" the exam and headed out the door.

Crazy - that was 10 years ago this past winter.

Here's another great way Buzz gets it - these are some of his thoughts from TTL about part of the newcomers on the team. It's short, but really to the point & a reason for excitement! Very, very concise, but also very encouraging.

Buzz on Malik Mueller, Justin Bibbs, Ahmed Hill, Jalen Hudson, & Satchel Paige Pierce...

There are a few points you will hear Buzz say repeatedly in interviews. One of them is 'paint touches' as a point of focus for the offense. Another one is - OKG - as in 'Our Kind of Guy'. For Buzz, Justin Bibbs is an absolute monster OKG.

I think my excitement just tripled after hearing his remarks about these guys, it seems he is very happy with the players and their future! Go Hokies!

In 2004 I had an exam during the Duke game.... This Duke game...

My girlfriend at the time had 2 tickets to the game and I had to pass because I wasn't going to see any of the first half. Made it back to my apartment to catch most of the second half. I'm still a little bitter to this day that I missed out on that one.

I had an accounting exam during that game. The reason I remember that so well is that there was one guy who turned in his test 5 minutes after starting. He obviously had other priorities.

This was one of the most enjoyable Tech sporting events I have been to in the last 30 years; such a fun game.

Tech Talk Live did a segment last night called "radio twitter" where Buzz had to answer in under 140 characters, in an effort to creatively shorten Buzz's answers to the questions..funny stuff. They actually got 2 commercial breaks in last night during buzz's 30 minutes for the first time.
