We know his OC experience is limited. We know he had success at Temple, and a bust at Auburn. We also know he is skilled at coaching QBs. If you read the complaints of Auburn fans, their opinions on Loeffler are eerily similar to ours of Stiney. However, is it Scot, or Chizik trying to get his greasy fingers into the offense. How do yall see the Hokie offense changing during Loeffler's first year?

Hopefully we're mean up front.
Like a Freight Train
Heres my thought: the offense will initially come out running the basics. Once we get everyone on the same page, building confidence, this sucker will build steam like a Buddha statue rolling downhill on ice. Much like a freight train; slowly building up power till she's full bore and then there's no stopping her. I say by the end of the season we'll be thanking our lucky stars we hired Loeffler...the pieces we have coming back could be magical.
Can we please just be able to make in-game adjustments; for the better?
As far as I'm concerned, there's a trophy case for a national championship trophy. So, those are my expectations.
In terms of gameplay and style, run the ball hard and set up Thomas for some play action. I don't want a 50+ point per game offense, I want an offense that can put 25-30 up and give the defense a break.
That's the biggest thing to me, too.
I realize that as long as Beamer is the coach, the offensive philosophy will remain pretty much the same as it has always been, but I hope the performance on the field will improve so that they're not always relying on the defense.
To be honest, they could run an offense with two squirrels and five sloths and I'd be happy as long as they were putting points on the board and taking the pressure off the D.
Agreed. I don't care what kind of offense we run, as long as it works and doesn't set us up for failure somewhere along down the road.
Sort of like Georgia Tech, the option was great at first, but once people learn to defend it you can't run it as well.
First objective: Find two running backs who we can rotate in and out all season and get them as many reps as possible during the spring and August. I fully expect these RBs to be J.C. Coleman and Trey Edmunds (I don't expect Drew Harris to enroll in June.)
Second objective: Help Logan Thomas get his consistency back to what it was in 2011. I am very confident that Loeffler can do this. He coached Tom Brady and Chad Henne, two very consistent college quarterbacks (of course Henne isn't really panning it out in the NFL.)
Third objective: Teach our offensive linemen how to be tough. That's up to Grimes, though.
I expect 80 points/game
I think that's reasonable.
