If the victim is under 15 that is a felony. If they have evidence, they are looking at prison time and registering as a sex offender. What a way to screw up, dont know the facts but doesnt look good. Even if he didnt know the age, or was lied to or whatever, he has no defense.

The level of stupid it takes to do that is off the charts. A 17 yr old is one thing, a 14/15 yr old is completely different and also completely apparent, quickly. Not to mention, as someone said above - it isn't necessary. Football player at VT? You don't 'have' to resort to that, there are plenty of options accessible.
After the horrendous handling of Marcus Vick by Frank Beamer, I'm just glad that we have new administration in place & that we don't get the same with McKenzie. Hopefully he will learn from his stupid choice, though history shows that normally doesn't happen.

Yeah, even if this was a hookup initiated by Twitter or whatever social media outlet is the most popular among college kids, it doesn't fly. Within five minutes of conversation with a teen girl, if you are a college age guy you know whether she is late teens or early/mid-teens.
