Tech's in good position to land Kentavious Street, a 5-star defensive end out of North Carolina. Rivals had two good articles about him, one of which included an interview.

Mike Farrell admits Rivals has him rated so highly because of his potential (size, strength, speed, motor) as his technique needs more polish. Farrell believes he can hold the edge and rush the passer. According to Rivals Florida State is his leader, with Virginia Tech in second. Charley Wiles is his lead recruiter. If Alabama or Georgia were to offer, they would be near the top of his list.

if hand commits early would it make a difference in streets recruitment?
Or better yet, could that pull Street in? Is one a Stud End and the other a DE or would they be battling for the same spot?
Just checked and Hand is a strongside DE while Street is a weakside DE. That would be a pretty nice set of ends for a nasty DL.
Unsure, but as of right now it sounds like Street is going to let the recruiting process play out for the long haul. It bodes well for us that he wants to study mechanical engineering.
Gotta hope Hand or another high-profile guy jumps on board soon. UVA already thinks they are Alabama with two 5-star gets in the last two classes and Mike London will be crying his heart out on the recruiting trail to get others to hop aboard the Scott Stadium Titanic.
They can get all of the 5 stars that they want but WHEN London gets fired after ANOTHER losing season they will back off before signing day!
Well, at least we don't have to worry about the thoroughbreds.

hopefully we can overcome his childhood allegiance to them. FSU signed 3 DEs just now so maybe that can be in our favor as well as hopefully joining a class with Hand.
