All but imminent that Lefty gets another QB in this class (likely Joshua Jackson or Mikale Washington) so if it's true Ford leaving doesn't surprise me too much, wish him all of the best

I still think we see a ton of Durkin in the wildcat/goal line this season. I don't think that Motley can take the beating of being used like that over the course of a full schedule. I am totally ok if he proves me wrong, but Motley is more valuable as a guy who can run the whole offense and run set plays if needed versus being used as a battering ram.

If true, that's a real shame. I was pretty excited about Ford. I was hoping he would develop faster. I wish him the best wherever he lands though. I can't say I knew much about Dakota either but hopefully he finds greener pastures too.

Ford transferring probably has more to do with the direction Lefty is taking the offense than any lag in his development. Lefty's said many times that you have to be able to run the QB in today's game and that doesn't seem to be one of the finer points of A. Ford's skill set. Too bad though, he threw a nice ball and seemed like a great teammate.

Damn, I hate to see anyone go. I hope these guys enjoyed their time on the team. Best wishes to both, with gratitude for their efforts in Maroon & Orange.

Yup and parks went to uga and Cornwell went to bama. So I guess ford was 4th on the list? Although lefty went after Durkin so I'm not sure how much ford was really wanted. It seems as though lefty prefers a dual threat qb with all his offers going out this year to dual threats. I wish Andrew the best of luck, but his lack of arm strength was really evident from what I saw of practices.

Yeah, it's hard to say exactly what happened. We weren't in these kids kitchens.
But we had a clear preference for Parks and Cornwell. My take was we then had a next tier and seemingly preferred Ford to Rudolph. But its hard to say. The point may be that we ended up with the wrong one. Rudolph may end up the best of those four.

If it is true, I kinda saw this coming with good dual threat talent coming in behind him... Hope the best for them.
Durkin might stick at QB for a while longer if true. Someone needs to challenge Lawson upon his arrival.

God I hope you're right.

Beat guys are confirming it on Twitter now quoting a source in the athletic dept., so it sounds like it's true.
Yep
Absolute best of luck to them both. #alwaysahokie
Sadly that pretty much eliminates the possibility of this ever happening again.
Best of luck to Andrew.
That is a classic
ford's arm strength was the knock coming in ... the knock going out. good luck.
We should have picked Mason Rudolph instead of Ford.
I've still got an outside hope we are keeping in touch with Jacob Parks. If he doesn't win the UGA job thus summer, he may transfer.
From what I recall, the reason we offered Ford was because Rudolph committed to Oklahoma State.

thought it was hinted we tried to slow play Rudolph while waiting on park/cornwell and he ended up picking Ok. state.

I saw both Rudolph and Parks play in the Shrine Bowl and Rudolph was a man amongst boys out there.
Maybe we traded for Grayson Lambert?
--ducks--
I keeed!!
Looks like the Jackson transfer/release is not confirmed yet.
Best of luck to those two guys, our love never had time to blossom.
