VT Rugby Collegiate Rugby Championship in Philly

This past fall, the VT Rugby 7s team beat UVA to win the Atlantic Coast Rugby League 7's championship and earn a spot at the CRC this June in Philly. This is a huge accomplishment for our club, and a great chance for us to represent the university on a big stage. The CRC will be televised nationally on CBS and we're hoping for a lot of support from Hokie Nation. We're financially responsible for selling 300 tickets by April 1 and it'd help us out greatly if some fellow TKPers would buy a ticket or two. The CRC is held June 1-2 and tickets are $35 for a full weekend pass. So if you live near Philly (or don't and just want to have a fun weekend trip), head over to virginiatechrugby.com to purchase a ticket. It should be a great weekend and we're looking forward to putting on a good show for Hokie Nation. Besides, it'll be a great distraction from the fact that we won't have football until August.

PPL Park is a beautiful stadium (but not in the best area-actually located just outside of philly in Chester, PA) I was able to go last year to see my brother play(playing for his high school) and would recommend going if you're in the area

Yeah, it's a pretty great location. We're also trying to get a thank-you party shindig goin for all the Tech fans that come up to support the team.

For anyone interested, here's the video of the Tech-UVA final at the ACRL 7s championship. It's a bit confusing since they're both in white, but Tech is wearing the orange and maroon stripes on the front of their shirts. Spoiler alert: Tech wins. LOLUVA
