ND to ACC

Notre Dame agreed an exit with the Big East and will be part of the ACC starting July 1st. Hopefully they will be part of the football part as well. Very good news for the ACC. #goacc

The football scheduling agreement won't start until 2014.

Meh. I hate how they get a special deal with football. Can we just swap places with the UK Wildcats?

Big 10/ACC Challenge

Tech Hoops brought up a good point on twitter that with ND joining the ACC will go to 15 matched up with 14 Big Ten teams may mean VT (since we finished last) wouldn't participate in the Big 10/ACC challenge next year. It isn't that big of a deal but it does kinda suck.

We would have been matched up with Penn State. I have always been a supporter of playing that school in as many sports as possible. I feel like it is a good fit for a rivalry. The schools are similar in many ways with the exception of size and pretty close geographically. I see them as our Tennessee to the north.

Can't wait to play Radford to make up for the game.
