Is JD moving onto something else? I'm an avid podcast listener (cannot listen during work), so I was asking myself what was going on with no podcasts posted since April 30....

At the last spring scrimmage, J.D. told us he'd be moving on to a new job in South Carolina. He said he wasn't sure if things would continue or not with his show, sorry to say.

The whole ESPN Blacksburg thing has been poor quality for local programming since the onset in my opinion. I think CBS Sports Radio is winning that battle. I'd love for there to be a quality replacement. The more local coverage, the better.

I've been checking here & there but still nothing that I can find re his replacement. Last I tuned in Le Batard & his annoying Dad were still in the time slot.

You in the mean time should be working on watching those sport movies you have never seen. What were they, any of the Rocky's, Field of Dreams, Jerry McGuire, Bull Durham, Raging Bull.
Also I didn't understand how Rudy never made either of your lists, its gotta be a top five sports movie. On another note I have high hopes for the movie Southpaw it looks really good.

ESPNBlacksburg has a position opened on their employment page. Seems like they are going to try to fill it.

I thought ESPN Blacksburg was great when Brian Marcolini was there. It kind of fell off once he left.
My problem was I never got a good signal...always had static.
Didn't have a problem with the show itself.
I live in Alabama, and just listened to the podcasts at work the next day. Not trying to say JD was bad, but he was better when Brian was his wingman
Yes, he was. And vice versa.
Both were needed to temper the fairly frequent headscratchers that would come out the others' mouth.

you have to ride the volume...commercials are so damn loud...but it is so great to hear Hokie chatter on the way home. Wish that Podcast was in place
