This is a thing that was discovered today at ACC Kickoff.
Part of me laughed, part died, when I saw three-word "error" on page 145 in ACC FB media guide unveiled today. Ouch. pic.twitter.com/WVAv64QQlpβ David Glenn Show (@DavidGlennShow) July 20, 2015

Inquiring minds want to know: was this person really disappointed in Wake's season... or did they really want a new job?
My guess is they're currently needing a new job regardless.
Well, with media guides like this, this is already shaping up to be a fun season. What will they think of next
It seems ACC media days have been pretty amateur hour.
edit now that Im off ipad:
and now the "Fuck this Shit" you mentioned. Add in the poor social media stuff they have been doing in regards to the videos not embedding and some not having sound. It just seems poorly done by some teams and some aspects of ACC organization.
In my opinion, it's actually been quite the opposite. The conference put on a heck of a golf tournament Sunday, and today was great.
There's a difference between amateur hour, and a few hiccups along the way. At every conference of this size I've been to, there have been internet issues. That includes one at the Googleplex. The ACC is at the mercy of Pinehurst with regards to Internet.
I'm able to embed the videos from the ACC's website without a problem. If I am being honest, that seems like an operator error issue. Also, they crosspost all of their videos on YouTube, which has the simplest embedding available on planet Earth.
For my money, it's rich hyperbole to cherry pick a couple of tweets and use it to generalize an entire 3-day event.
My issue this is not a one time problem with the ACC, the TV coverage with Raycom had numerous issues this year. They seem to be behind in getting some kind of network together. To me it speaks to not being prepared which could see the ACC and VT being left behind in the money and prestige in coming years. It's little things but things that matter especially when it effects the media covering your conference or event. While I don't doubt the actual event is well done in terms of the venue, things to do and some faclties this is an event the ACC should have had all the kinks worked out months ago. This is a reflection on the ACC as a whole, to let GT have a sheet of paper as their media guide. As for the embed I didn't go to their website I was going off their Facebook posts, I also was not the only one having issues with sound during the video but then using their embed link. While I'm not great at this tech stuff you have made this site easy to use I would hope an organization that makes millions and employs how many could do just as well as you have.
There have been numerous problems with Raycom broadcasting games, and it does make the ACC look incompetent, but it's an entirely different issue with any issues the media had at ACC Kickoff. If you have an axe to grind against the ACC, then lumping everything together is the argument to make. Otherwise, there's much more nuance and context.
The SEC, Big Ten and Pac-12 all have the same issues at their preseason media events. They also all have television deals. The ACC has one traditional football power to market to television audiences. The SEC has almost an entire conference full of them. The Big Ten has Ohio State, Michigan and Penn State. The Pac-12 has USC, and more importantly a captive west coast audience.
I made the joke about Georgia Tech's media guide because I make jokes. However, I sat next to two media members who were using it to take notes while interviewing Georgia Tech representatives. All the other media guides are going to end up on bookshelves and in recycling bins.
The ACCN is more about the appeal of ALL sports. While the SECN is airing football reruns from Dec-Jun, the ACCN could be airing basketball, baseball, wrestling tournaments, soccer, etc. The ACC is probably the best overall athletic conference in the country, IMO. Then consider the fact that it controls essentially the entire mid-Atlantic television market, DC, and a presence in the northeast (BC, Cuse, ND), it's absolutely ridiculous that no one has gotten the ACCN off the ground yet. Now, with our TV rights signed over and with ESPN for the next 10 years, and with ESPN cutting the budget, I don't think the ACCN is ever going to happen. The conference's leadership and foresight have really been lacking, IMHO. I'm sure Pinehurst is well-organized and a great week, but big picture, the ACC is really lagging behind.
I see nothing wrong with this at all.
Nor do I. It keeps me going until the next football season.

Did you make this, and more importantly, did you tweet it?
cool cool I hear you. Won't happen again.
Huh? I was just asking because if you'd already tweeted it I was gonna retweet you so you got credited. But then I realized, why not just check your feed. I quoted you. This is brilliant.
I think war tooth was "phreaking" out on you.
Then we're all good. I've received derisive comments on here the past couple of times I've cross-posted things from Twitter.
Derisive: expressing contempt or ridicule: "a harsh, derisive laugh"
Your twitter feed is the tits.
^^^^^
Dude... I wasn't making derisive comments. I was just joking. sheesh, learn to take a joke. I've always appreciated your work. Time to let it go.
i don't know from jokes
Tweet of the Year candidate:
Wake Forest Stats guy dropped the ball.
To be fair, we all had similar thoughts after experiencing 2014 Wake Forest football as well
FTS is probably their way of describing this!
I know it's cliche, but this thread would not be complete without it.
