I've been asked to post my stuff here for discussion, so now is as good a time as any. Here are two post-scrimmage posts:

Ever since Andy joined the Virginia Tech beat, he has gone above and beyond to enage the Hokie fanbase and his readership with the best information about the football team. I am thrilled that Andy has offered to post some of his material here. They are must reads for any Hokie fan who wants to be in touch with the workings of the football program.

Andy, I noticed that you said on your twiiter account that no press cameras were present, but I saw video from the scrimmage on our local NBC affiliate here in Charlottesville. It's not on their website, though, and I was wondering if tech's athletic department pursues things like that and makes them remove the video. Any idea? Also, any official (or for that matter unofficial) word on attendance yesterday?

TV stations can film open portions of practice for B-roll or background footage on newscasts. What Tech doesn't want is for fans to record from a distance, giving away formations and stuff.

Attendance was OK. I'd call it a smattering. Not too much. About what I expected on a Monday.

Related to the post, I think this article just underscores what great hires were made this off-season. CFB made a master chess move bringing this new coaching trio in that fulfills so many requirements:

Coaching synergy- there from the start with Grimes and Loeffler, and Moorehead being a former successful walk-on just fits in the VT culture
toughness and technique in both the OL and receiving corps
LT3's progression as a QB- Logan gets some yoda-like coaching, and the team and fanbase gets a stud to lead them

There are more, and we all have discussed them, but I really admire the way CFB elegantly stitched them all together with this trio.

My first thought when I saw in the Tracker that the author of a post was 'Andy Bitter' was: 'What a great handle! Wish I had thought of that!'. Then, I come in, and see that it's actually him - even better. So glad to have you here, Andy! The only conceivable way TKP could get better.
