Thus far, out of everyone in the 2013 class I'm most excited about Facyson. That's a biased assessment since he's one of a few that enrolled early. However, he has impressive size as a freshman (6-2, 183) with room to grow. He's done enough during practice to earn reps with the top teams. Based on when the coaches offered him (July 2011, at one of Tech's camps, I believe), they probably quickly saw a player that'd fit their scheme. His intelligence and ambition are just icing on the cake as Foster's defense thrives on heady players, and he's smart enough to realize how tough transitioning to the college lifestyle is.

Jonathan McLaughlin = 2013 recruit to be most excited about. Cracking the two deep (and possibly starting), as a freshmen, at one of the most critical positions of need, makes me really, really happy we signed him.

For the new Bitter Blog updates, first of all...thanks! I now have one less reason to go to any other VT site.
Secondly, since Andy posts blogs daily, should you just have a "Bitter Blog" post that gets updated with every new blog post by Andy? That way you could see the list. Or maybe you clear it out occassionally, have a "Spring Practice Bitter Blog" set and a "Summer Offseason" and "Summer Practice" and "Bama Week," etc.

It's perfect how he's doing it now. Scrolling through one long thread is a pain in the ass, and since each blog for the most part is different, it allows him to keep the different subjects separate, and us to know what we have and have not read.

Facyson is the kind of kid I root hard for. I wonder if he's going to end up the next D.J. Parker. I remember a few years ago, Beamer called Parker one of the quietest and hardest-working player on the defense, but Parker had the ability to make himself noticed. I think Facyson may be in line to be similar.

Seems like a really smart kid. "Facyson, who called Gray the best defensive backs coach in the nation..." really proves just how smart he is.
Haha, the 3.9 GPA and NHS membership also proves just how smart he is.
Very excited to see him play!
Facyson is/was my favorite player coming out of this class. Great read. Thanks Andy
Nice article! Can't wait to see this defensive backfield in a few seasons!!

Could you possibly add a "Bitter" tab to the Navigation bar like how there is currently a "French" tab?
Good point.
