Interesting how d-tackle is a spot we are considered "thin". I also found it interesting that both Harley and Smith are "on the ground too much". Can you imagine how Korren Kirvin would have played into this saga had he chosen us over Bama? Lets only hope our dogs in the trenches can hold their own against the Tide. I believe they will. Harley is alot like Tank Abott from the Octogan, years past. He comes in a fury, leaves in a hurry. If he's given short stints on the field, he'll do damage. I dont believe he is an every-down d-lineman though--yet. And Smith? Ol' Papa Smurf will get him in shape before this is all said and done. Too bad we cant slide some of our d-ends down, ie: Collins. If I were a betting man, I'd say he will end up there by the end of the season. He'll be a "Via" of the d-line: Mr. Utility who can play backup fiddle to both Nicolas and Maddy.

There is still plenty of time before AUG31 so I think the young guys will pick it up and not be as much of a liability as they seem right now. As zoom said, there is always Collins (and Marshall) who can slide over, which is an advantage on 3rd and long and similar situations.

disappointing about harley. I was really hoping he was gonna break through and be a major contributor this year since he was a fairly highly touted recruit. hopefully he improves as spring goes along

Excellent writing and insight as always Andy!
I always love Wiles and Foster interviews. Those guys don't bull crap. Truth speak, love it.

Maybe they bulk Teller up and move him to DT?
