Star Freshman RB For Tide Fractures Leg

While he is not the starter, this kid is scary in how he runs. It's a fractured tibia and so he should be healed by August, but I would imagine this would set the kid back a bit. They also have 2 other backs on the mend from season-ending injuries last year. Bummer for him but good for us, right?

They're starting inside backer also suffered an injury last week. He broke his foot, but will most likely be back by #beatbama

He will be back in time for the season. I think the most interesting thing in the article is how Henry got 29 carries for 120+ yards as a backup in the scrimmages. None of our backs are getting anywhere near that kind of workload.

Five star get after it 100 percent Juice Key-Playing. MAN

Alabama's training staff must be first class. Remember Brandon Deaderick? He got shot 5 days before kickoff and played (http://blog.al.com/press-register-sports/2009/09/sec_extra_alabama_dl_br...).

"It's open, but it really doesn't hurt," Deaderick said of the wounds. "I have padding over it on my arm and my thigh. Every day I just got progressively better. I went from walking to jogging then I was able to sprint and being able to push off and punch with my hands. I should be out there at 100 percent real soon."

Although Marcell Dareus started in his spot, Deaderick was able to play and recorded one tackle. That was inspiration enough for teammates, as Alabama overcame a fourth-quarter deficit to pull out a season-opening win against what was the nation's No. 7 team.

Tough man right there.

I remember that. Insane.

Regarding Bama, they always have some talent in the waiting to step up.

Yea unfortunately. The article says, "Alabama signed three top-10 tailbacks in the 2013 class"

Antler spray!

How on earth is a guy that is 6'3" 245 playing RB???

Have you seen the guys high school film? It's just ridiculous.

Logan 3:16

Best High School film I've ever seen. Bar none.

Yeah I have; I was posing it more as a rhetorical question. I don't know how your'e supposed to tackle him.

You know how to tell if a kid is damned good in highlight tape? No arrows pointing them out. They are every bit of the highlight. Lawdy.

I despise whoever cut this video. It goes into slow motion any time anybody gets anywhere near him. I couldn't make it even half way through the video.

Clealry he was using bullet time to escape the grasps of any tackler that approached him.

Joffrey, Cersei, Ilyn Payne, the Hound, Jeff Jagodzinski, Paul Johnson, Pat Narduzzi.

I've made it to the 3 minute mark... I think every play he's scored a touchdown. I haven't seen him get tackled/run out of bounds once. The guy is simply a man amongst boys.

Man, it almost looks like in half of these highlights they just go and directly snap it to him....

Crazy

Yeah, that was one of the better films I've seen. He's a physical runner with all great athleticism. Rivals had him as a 4-star, 247 as a five. I wonder what level of competition he faced.

The video is literally a penguin-looking dude in front of hotel decorations for 2 minutes. Good scoop, World Wide Leader

he may be healed by the game but a broken tibia will prolly set him back a little bit if I were bama I'd redshirt the kid just to make sure hes 100% by the time he can play

Taylor, looking desperately throws it deep..HAS A MAN OPEN DANNY COALE WITH A CATCH ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE FIVE!!!!....hes still open

eh... broken tibia will probably only keep him completely sidelined for 2 months, tops. After that they'll ease him back into it, but within 2 months of rehab he should be good enough to play. Might not quite be 100% at the start of the season, but he'll be there shortly thereafter.
