Why not orange vs maroon. If i remember correctly, colors are orange, maroon, and grey.
Just Chicago maroon and burnt orange. Grey went by the wayside around 1896.
I agree, why do they do 1st team O vs 2nd D and vice versa? I don't like that.
I wish they would have included an updated depth chart...
maybe they'll figure it out after the game based on people's performance.
This game is more like the (1's & 2's) vs. (3's & 4's). I can't believe Mark Leal isn't going to be leading the white team. What is this gonna prove?
I feel like they are trying to get Parker some reps....its the only thing that makes sense to me.
This game is about the coaches getting a good self-scouting report. Who can do what. In order to do that, you need the first team playing together.
If LT gets hurt vs Bama, Leal isn't going to be throwing to the players on the white team. He'll be throwing and handing off to players on the Orange team. So he'll get reps with those players in order for the coaches to see what, exactly, he can do.
Still though, I wish the first team D was on the white, and first team O was on the Orange. That'd make for a more interesting game and, IMO, give the coaches a better idea of exactly where the offense is.
Maybe they're trying to get the first team O to gain some confidence running whatever the new plays are? All I can think of is they're trying to get reps that demonstrate how well things can work when executed correctly.
I'm guessing that Leal might play a little on both teams, since he's the only other Yellow Jersey listed.
Trey Gresh is listed on both teams, I'm assuming that's because he's the holder for FGs though. They might have just pulled the rosters from a list of jerseys they'd have for the game and put the Yellow's with the Orange team and they'll have Trey switching depending on the team that might be kicking a field goal next.
